Chart Notes: Kind of a crazy week this was. Due to the myriad of free and severely discounted albums available on XBOX music, I downloaded about 1,200 new songs total and have been listening to many of them.
In fact, although all my songs are legal, I only paid for 3/10. Although, I did snag Mockingjay Soundtrack for $2 and Crash My Party for $3 back in the day. And for the albums, I only bought Drake's during a trip to Compton and I paid $1 for Mary, all those are legal also.
In addition, I haven't been able to update my ipod and won't be able to for the foreseeable future so I can only listen to the couple albums I have on there so expect to see little change on the album and song chart for a bit.
Anyway, poor Carrie, she gets blocked by a surprise debut from 7/11. It's a good song, and I've been playing it non-stop it feels like. The EP is so short it got a ton of plays this week so it debuts high on the album chart. A lot of songs debut at the lower region of my song chart. I'm most excited about The Chemical Brothers, I love them and have most their albums.
On the album chart, Ciara, after getting dozens of plays these past couple weeks, debuts. Her self-titléd album is one of the few on my ipod. Plus, it's amazing. Florida Georgia Line also debut with their surprisingly solid deluxe version of their debut album given out for free on XBOX music, but I the long-hair guy makes me angry and want to punch him in the face, so I replaced the cover with a Blank Space.
Thanks for following my countdown and my Best of 2013 (made right before Christmas last year if I remember correctly), I will be continuing with updates during the week (the next to come probably 48 hours from now). The best tracks are yet to come!
