I still don't get why people (mostly Olicity fans ) hate on Laurel. I've always liked her and I mean really what's a Green Arrow without his Black Canary. I can't wait.

I agree, Laurel hate is so baffling. Having said that she was being a bit of a mess "oh let's kill the guy who might possibly have answers about why my sister was killed"

Oh I know that Laurel is the "real" Black Canary. I just don't want to see it since she's such an awful character and actress.
And 90% of Arrow's viewers don't read comics (why do you think every advertisement/poster features a shirtless guy) so don't try to cling to the notion that they "have to follow the comics." Fan reaction to Felicity has been overwhelmingly positive, while fan reaction to Laurel has been overwhelmingly negative.
None of us know what the endgame will be. It might align closely with the comics, it might not.
Honestly if they would've given it more time, people could've warmed up to Laurel. Just when she was starting to redeem herself, the writers decide to alienate her. How are her fans supposed to grow?
