You're cool. Yes it was.
I'm pretty excited to see Brandon there too. I'm going to have to pick up the song soon and start playing it.

I'm going to be going through and slowly working on the update now, so if anybody has a top 5 and isn't going to update their chart but would like to be counted, you can leave a top 5 here in the thread and I will count it.

Thanks REMMY. ! I don't think I've ever seen you comment around here. You definitely should more often
I've been helping out with this. It's pretty fun and kind of relaxing to go through and just compile everything to be honest. I like to lend a hand to help out also whenever and wherever I can. Plus this is a cool chart to have.
Taylor really doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon She wasn't kidding when she sung about not going out of Style.

Work Song and The Blacker The Berry made it! St. Jude and Want to Want Me is here too! Uptown Funk is still top 15! Shut Up and Dance gotta move back up. What Kind of Me should move back into the top 5. Rihanna better have that top debut! I like that song, but of course people keep dissing it, but not that much since some like ratchet bops. Poor dance-pop lovers. Rih having a mess of an era, but I love the three singles. Those complainers and Rih haters can stay mad. Rih is still successful, but bandwagoners latching onto her success despite some not liking those song. I don’t like that top 3. Shots is back!
I can’t believe that you also bumped up my countdown! I still slaying effortlessly. I was thinking about bringing my request countdown back for one week during my Spring Break, but I didn’t. I was also thinking about sharing my Q1 songs that I liked. Don’t know if I should post a separate thread for it or put in it in my personal countdown thread. Regardless, I’m not finish with it yet. I wanted to do it during the spring break, but no. I was busy sleeping most of the time and working on the To Pimp a Butterfly review. Glad that you enjoyed my reviews. Should I do a random update in my personal countdown as in just picking the 25 + on deck songs I like in that week? I cannot make up the missing updates yet.
My top 5:
1 King Kunta Kendrick Lamar
2 American Oxygen Rihanna (A wonderful video and f**k Tidal)
3 Earned It The Weeknd
4 Shut Up and Dance Walk The Moon
5 Wesley’s Theory Kendrick Lamar
Gotta get more To Pimp a Butterfly songs on the chart.

Thanks Flame. I recorded your picks. I just found out about a nifty new table building tool. If it works well, expect this update much sooner
As far as your request countdown goes...I couldn't resist making my voice heard in #democracy #YTTVotes2K15
I'd be hyped for a best of Q1 from you. You should do it!

Dddd you haven't? Yeah, it's been a long time. I haven't commented on countdowns since probably last year. I had plenty of time to do it but I just needed the motivation, because it takes like... 2 hours to comment on all the new ones. But just days ago I was bored and had nothing to do so I just went for it. Now I'll definitely come in here daily and keep up with it all like I used to.
That's good.

50 charts! That's a new peak in the amount of personal charts that took part in the weekly census here (51 if Flame Beat's post here is counted). That caused this update to be a bit later than originally planned, but it's cool. The amount of charts analyzed is reflected in the point distribution. Even the 50th place has 5 points, and unfortunately, some chart's number 1's did not make the cut. I did give preference to those that maintain a regularly updated chart so update yours regularly if you want to be counted I guess. Also, I want to personally thank the member Sam, he showed me a table generator that made updating this thing so much easier. So I had more charts to look at and an easier job updating, it all evened out. But, I'm sure you just want me to stop talking so I will, and get to discussing the songs here.
It almost happened. It looked like it was never going to happen and it didn't! Taylor Swift's 6 (now 7) week number 1, Style hangs on to the top spot by 1 point! Taylor's song is the only song to hold it's position on a volatile chart. Last week I noted that the song was losing support among YTT's charts and it lost just enough points for a nailbitingly close race next week between Tove Lo's Talking Body and Rihanna's Bitch Better Have My Money which tops the chart, moving from 4-2 in its second week. Is the Bitch Money movement and consistency cross-promo with the launch of Season 3 of I Love Money?. Maybe. Is this part of this post cross-promotional synergy? Absolutely. [stike]Rihanna was in the lead until I realized that I counted a chart that had her song at number one this week and last week. The problem: the chart had not been updated and was inelligible to contribute so Taylor leads for at least one more week[/stike]
We also have some interesting chart movements here. Last week, I noted how no song in particular seemed to be gaining a consensus and well, that kind of holds more true this week. We have Top 5 debuts from Tove Lo's Talking Body (mostly thanks to umich who created a chart this week. Give him a welcome) and Brandon Flower's Can't Deny My Love (there's some type of pun to be made there on the song titles, especially with the Ellie Goulding song but I'll leave that to you to make). Brandon Flowers's Top 5 achievement marks the first solo male top 5 since Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud and the highest charting male alternative song since Hozier's Top 5 peak the week of 2/4/15. The week I started helping out with updates. Unfortunately, it is also the lowest scoring Top 5 since the beginning of the chart as well with 14 points. But, Brandon's support only seems to be growing.
A quick note on my methodology. When I put this together in my spreadsheet, it filters by points given, but sorts ties by alphabetical order. I use that raw sorting and then give preference to songs that have been on the chart before, or songs that have multiple people supporting it. I have noted this before, but it especially came into play this week which I why I note this. Riptide by Vance Joy sees a big debut at number 32 for example, because it was supported by two member charts while say Hurricane by Lifehouse debuts at number 40 because it was only supported by one periodically updated chart. In addition, Doin' It by Charli XCX and Rita Ora ranks at number 31 because it was supported by two charts, but has been on a downward trend; but the fact that it has had more chart history, it outdoes Riptide. That's all there if anyone is curious why I rank the songs the way I do. Fun fact though: I can pretty much look at any song now and tell you who charted it
Other notable movements this chart include WALK THE MOON entering the Top 10 at number 9 with Shut Up And Dance and the top 15 debut of Madonna's Ghosttown. We have the highest charting K-Pop song yet with Exo's Call Me Baby Ryn Weaver's Octahate at 17, and Nick Jonas's Chains debuting at 19, and Will Young's newest single Love Revolution entering at 37
Most importantly, we have the debut of the most ATRL-y name in the history of this chart: The Number 42 song, Mamamoo & Ensa's Ahh Oop!
Stay tuned and enjoy the chart.

I see that you already voted when The Nation made its return. Don’t know when The Zone will. For now, I will do the Best of Q1 in a new thread. Stay tune for that. 50 countdowns! YTT has really picked up again though it’s still slow since ATRL itself is slow (server, in general). I’m glad countdowns are coming though some probably updated in a random times like Mr.Link. Who knows how long the Asian charts will last until they disappeared again on another indefinite hiatus. Then, we got ASF and holyground that they try to update each week or so. Few delays and so on. Every time, I come to YTT, I noticed some members haven’t updated since the Best of. I realized backtoback hasn’t updated his countdown. I don’t see his countdown. I don’t think Regina has updated her countdown recently. Enough of me taking about the state of YTT, time to talk about this chart.
After all that, Style just won’t die. Bitch, Rihanna better have her #1 next week. King is dancing as we shut up and Shots! OctaHate is here as well as Muse’s new one. K-pop has arrived with Call Me Baby and Paradise Lost. I want to receive some Champagne Kisses from Jessie. Oh, I bought King Kunta into the chart. A celebration of freedom. Exciting chart.
Top 5 in this moment:
1 American Oxygen Rihanna
2 King Kunta Kendrick Lamar
3 Bitch Better Have My Money Rihanna
4 Shots Imagine Dragons
5 Earned It The Weeknd
