I am soooooo glad she is coming back but I have to say although she is the Queen and slays all those newbies around the business right now (No shade, I freaking love Katy Perry :heart: actually more than Madonna), Im afraid she might have a hard time to get on top of the charts! She will still be huge in Europe by default (look at "Celebration" - a **** song that sounded like a B-side with no promo - was Top 5 all over the EU) and her tour will also be massive worldwide. American radio is ageist but with the right song I could see her having another smash. At any rate, she has nothing to prove at this point. I'd rather get an amazing album than one full of hits.

'Music' being released in 2000 at 41... during teen pop PEAK! is the perfect example of that.
She survived everything. Cyndi Lauper, Janet, Whitney, Mariah, Britney, Christina, etc (all "new girls" and "hot acts" of the moment). And still remain.
If she is going to dance music, I need new genres and maybe a more downtempo type of feel a la Confessions. I need interesting beats more than igniting the dance floor sounds.
What I really want is more of a Bedtime Stories meets Ray of Light album
