Probably, Katy's hits in numbers are becoming stronger, her last effort had around 6-7 International Hits, while Gaga's hits in numbers are weakening, she had 1 and a mild hit (Judas)

Katy Perry = Artificial Brand.
Brands die out, real artists survive.

Sis, Katy has numerous hits, but most of them are forgettable. Do you think anyone will remember PoM, TOTGA, LFN, TD, and WA in ten years?

That's stupid. Only stans remember all their catalogue. Do you think the general public will remember all Lady Gaga's singles in ten years?
We can't predict the future, in 2012 Katy hits are as memorable as Gaga's.
Even more, Firework was Top 40 on iTunes on July 4th.
None of Lady Gaga's singles has charted that high after one year of their release.

I do think Teenage Dream (the song) is timeless and will be remembered, yes. Along with maybe Firework.

Madonna was one of the original dance-pop girls and her work stood out, whereas Katy is molded after people like Madonna herself and her music blends in with a lot of today's radio music.
Plus it's pretty silly to compare Gaga and Cyndi at this point.

I think katy will be remembered but I don't think she'll outlast gaga to be honest. I feel like gaga has made her mark. She's here to stay....

I believe BTW, Poker Face, Bad Romance, and Telephone will be remember in ten years yes
And what do you expect? Maybe July 4th reminds them so much of Fireworks (I'm not even going to mention the amount of promo Madagascar 3 has been giving it).

Gaga is more than just a music force. She's more important in fashion and culture itself than Katy Perry will ever be, and this was during the era that the general public ignored Gaga for the most part. Her presence as a celebrity will most likely never fade, regardless of her musical success. If you are specifically talking about the music industry, Gaga will leave when she wants to, IF she wants to. She will always have the funds and connections to make another album, single, music video, etc. Saying otherwise is just silly. Katy has established herself in the music industry, but I don't think she'd ever be able to outlast Gaga.

Of course Firework is going to be remembered. I can predict ET and California Gurls is going to be remembered as well.

No shade but I honestly think none of Gaga's songs will be remembered. They are just repetitive and they get old very fast. Katy has Firework and it is already a classic.

We'll see though Poker Face and Bad Romance was made years ago, yet everyone still knows "Po-po-po-poker face" and "Rah-rah-ra-ah-ah, roma-roma-ma."
