TBH though. Idol was ass kissing Adele before she was a thing. I still remember in Season 8 hearing them refer to her many times. Way before she was making any significant waves.

Just like the Grammys. People said they started to kiss her ass this year, but she became a multiple winner and nominee for her debut album. Of course, she gets more attention now that she's even bigger, but American Idol and the Grammys were always on that train.
