I understand why these eastern countries don't want migrants, but is taking in a few thousand migrants really such an enormous thing for the Czechs that's they're considering an exit from the EU? Their economy will go down the drain.

The article says the move was started by a party that has always been anti-EU and tried to convice Parliament to hold a referendum before. This time it looks like they may succeed.
IF it goes to the public vote then I hope the campaigns highlight that Czech Republic will be affected in more ways than merely immigration. It's not as simple as "Czech Republic won't have to take in anyone if we vote to leave". They have trade and economic issues to consider.

It shouldn't be. Hungary for instance is losing 20000 people (natural decrease) each year. We have space we could accommodate A LOT OF IMMIGRANTS, but people (me included) would be afraid of this sort of sudden cultural change that muslims would bring along. Honestly I would support any sort of immigration to my country apart of middle eastern (jews excluded) or north African to be quite honest.

It would be easier for you to say "Just no muslims"

so would you prefer west Africans, many of whom are delusional Christians?
The sudden arrival of a few thousand muslims in a country of of millions is not going to cause "sudden cultural change"? Integration is completely achievable if the situation is managed correctly.

Are those delusional Christians making scenes like this on European streets like the above? No they don't, so yes they could come.
I don't believe that Muslim integration is achievable yet. The societies they come from are too much stuck with religion, completely lack respect towards other faiths, and people that are different. No I don't believe they would want to integrate at all. So no thank you, the west if they want can keep.

I think it's more a sovereignty thing, than just specifically about the immigrants.

Well let me tell you, I live in a country with a significant population of muslim migrants and most that I know have integrated quite well. Infact, the longer they live here in Ireland, they become less and less influence by islam, some of them have even turned into alcoholics, a true sign of integration into Irish culture.
Anyway, they have no chance of integration if they're not given one.

What is integrated quite well? Sorry for getting caught up in the detail but that's exactly what I am talking about... Most people in the west drive themselves into this delusion that the Muslims will integrate (and yes few may) but if you look at the bigger picture most don't. I lived in the UK for nine years, I worked with them, I too know what I am talking about...

I guess it depends, like I said, on how immigration is managed. If large groups of muslims arrive and are concentrated in a small place (London for example) then they will probably stick with each other without mixing with the locals which is what they need.
Europe needs migrant workers and considering the global muslim population will outnumber that of Christians significantly in future times we will have make more of an effort in ensuring that they can integrate correctly like in Canada. The EU really needs to work on immigration reform.

And I think we should fill the gaps with migrants from South East Asia, and South America, and forget about the Arab world completely.
