HERE IS WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN. The Wii U version will come out and it will have a few different unlockable characters from the characters from the 3DS version, like Ridley instead of Dr. Mario and Dixie instead of Dark Pit. Then there will be DLC for each version of the game so you can get all of the characters.
Honestly, I don't think they'll add Mewtwo now that we have Lucario (although Mewtwo was better).
The worst addition to the roster is definitely Dark Pit. Wii Fit Trainer also seems so out of place. I'm not so sure how I feel about Duck Hunt Dog either.
Um. I still don't get what you're getting at. The roster has been unlocked.
Unless you get more characters by completing all-star mode, or DLC?
shade a biT
The roster has been unlocked for the 3DS version, yes, but that doesn't mean the Wii U version will have the exact same characters pre-DLC/linking. Sakurai has confirmed that both rosters will be exactly the same, yes, but he did hint a very long time ago that there would be a neat twist to them. I'm positive that the Wii U roster will not look the same as this one at first. I'm positive that you will either have to get DLC or link the two versions of the game together to get all of the characters. That video of Ridley in the Wii U game just confirmed it to me.

Dr Mario begs to differ. At least Dark Pit is a newcomer.

Don't be so quick to call them delusional, they do have a point. Nintendo has to have some surprise up their sleeve for the Wii U version; and since Sakurai did say that the rosters would be the same, I would imagine that the Wii U version would come with a handful of new characters that could be unlocked via linking to the 3DS version through your Nintendo Network ID.
Why's Pikachu being grabbed by Ridley so significant? If anything the size proportion of the overrated dragon is HUGE in comparison and pretty much deconfirms it (unless he was in an fsmash form)
And why is grabbing confirmation of his playable status? Master hand can grab you, so why can't Ridley fling you around the stage?
The Wii U version should at LEAST have the Ice Climbers. It'd be super disappointing if they omitted them just because they don't work on the handheld.
