In terms of Gaga songs for the most part:

Pre-chorus > Bridge > Chorus > Post-chorus > Verse

I do love her verses; that's where she experiments. Venus' verses, "please retweet", "loving you is cherry pie", "convicted criminals of thought" etc are all so Gaga. I love them so much.

I'm actually sort of worried that some of that quirk will be lost in translation over to LG5.

It's only logical. If the lead single fails to rebound like Applause did, they need to either rush the album or rush the second single and push the album release forward. It also gives other artists like Katy Perry less time to plan around her release.
