"Her sound" is something subjective, I mean... half the fanbase still says that her sound is pop/rock, the other half says pop/r&b influenced, others like pure pop Demi...
She's just trying new sounds I don't think she's trying to find a BIG hit and then say well, this is my sound (in that case I'm sure she would be stuck in the GYHAB sound)

I agree with this...
Part of what I love about her is how versatile she is with her sounds. She can serve bangers like Neon Lights and CFTS and then make us cry with Father and Stone Cold... Whatever mood I'm in there's usually a Demi song that can go with it.
If she only did one sound it would get boring. Even so, I do think each of her albums had a general sound.
Don't forget and HWGA were obviously pop rock. Unbroken was pop with some R&B and urban vibes. Demi was pure pop, and Confident was kind of a mix of it all but it still works as one cohesive piece of work IMO, because the track list is very well ordered.
On topic: I hope Confident becomes a bigger hit for her in January, and then she needs to release a ballad or mid-tempo, to remind people of her versatility since the last non uptempo single she released was almost 5 years ago
