You seem to care more than anyone else.
It ran its course in the international front. Everyone has accepted it. You trying to stir sth will not just suddenly bring attention to this.

It's one of the biggest mainstream flops. It's gonna draw attention whether I do it or someone else. Deal with it.

Tight Race:
Quote:
Aliens and a crew of four-legged animals are bringing the domestic box office to life.
Both Ridley Scott's sci-fi epic Prometheus and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted are off to a strong start at the multiplex, where they're engaged in a close race.
Early returns indicate a $20 million to $22 million Friday for the two 3D films, and a weekend opening in the $50 million to $60 million range. Many believe Madagascar 3, benefiting from a pent-up demand for family product, will pull ahead over the weekend.
DreamWorks Animation and Paramount's Madagascar 3 is benefiting from nearly 60 percent of elementary school kids being out of school. The threequel returns Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett-Smith and David Schwimmer in the lead voice roles.
Prometheus, from 20th Century Fox, in particular is doing impressive business. The movie grossed $3.6 million in Thursday midnight runs, including a stellar $1 million from 294 IMAX locations.
Prometheus -- headlining Noomi Repace, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron -- did notably better in its midnight performance than several recent event pics.
Last weekend, Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman -- also starring Theron alongside Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth -- grossed $1.4 million in midnight runs on its way to a $56.2 million weekend. And two weeks ago, Sony's Men in Black 3 took in $1.6 million in midnight grosses.
Box office observers had been divided as to how much Prometheus will open to at the domestic box office, with estimates ranging from $35 million to north of $55 million going into the weekend (Fox was conservative in offering a $30 million figure). Prometheus is rated R, unlike many of its fellow tentpoles, and there's also the question of how many females will turn out to see the movie.
Fox and Scott are hoping that Prometheus launches a new franchise, similar to Scott's blockbuster Alien series.
Prometheus and Madagascar 3 are also doing healthy business overseas.

Madagascar 3 looks like another ugly, tacky comedic animated film. Not here for it beating Prometheus, in case.

The critics disagree with that.

FRIDAY 10:30 PM, 2ND UPDATE: To Hollywood’s surprise tonight, Prometheus (3,396 theaters) and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (4,258 theaters) are in a dog fight for #1. No one least of all Twentieth Century Fox expected its R-rated scifi thriller to outgross DreamWorks Animation’s PG-rated family fare today. In fact Fox execs kept predicting no more than a $30M-$35M weekend result in an attempt to lower expectations, so the Fox film already is a big winner no matter which pic tops. Rival studios tell me that Ridley Scott’s Prometheus should win Friday. But Madagascar 3 distributed by Paramount should enjoy that Saturday kid bump as expected to win the weekend.
As for holdovers, Universal’s Snow White And The Huntsman follows last weekend’s strong opening with another fierce finish while Sony/Columbia’s Men In Black 3 starts its third weekend still in double-digits. I’m told that each film should end their domestic runs with $160M-$165M all-in. As for Marvel’s The Avengers from Disney, the moolah keeps growing. It enters this weekend with $561M domestic and $816.6M foreign for a humongous global cume of $1.3B. It’s now the the #3 film of all time globally (behind only Avatar’s $2.7B and Titanic‘s $2.1B) as well as all time domestically (behind only Avatar‘s $761M and Titanic‘s $659M). It now looks as if Avengers will end up $600M all in domestic. Here are the Top Five based on Friday’s estimated North American grosses:
1. Prometheus (Fox) NEW [3,396 Theaters] R
Friday $21M, Weekend $55M
2. Madagascar 3 (DreamWorks Anim/Paramount) NEW [4,258 Theaters] PG
Friday $19.5M, Weekend $58M
3. Snow White & The Huntsman (Universal) Week 2 [3,777 Theaters] PG13
Friday $8M, Weekend $26M, Cume $101M
4. Men In Black 3 (Columbia/Sony) Week 3 [3,792 Theaters] PG13
Friday $4M, Weekend $14M, Cume $136M
5. The Avengers (Marvel/Disney) Week 6 [3,129 Theaters] PG13
Friday $3.5M, Weekend $13M, Cume $574M

Just saw it(PROMETHEUS), and loved it. A few quirks, but overall a really well directed sci-fi/action-thriller. During the first half it often reminded me of the first Alien film. The sound and cinematography were sublime, and the 3D was very subdued, but in a spectacular way, if that makes sense. May be a cinematography/SFX Oscar in store for this one, at the very least a nomination.
Fassbender was terrific, but Noomi Rapace totally stole the show for me. The perfect choice for the lead role. Charlize's character could have been played by anyone really, she fell into the background in this one whenever Rapace or Fassbender were around.
The movie was a bit too much plot driven and didn't focus too much on character development, which imo was a bad decision because you ended up not giving a **** about what happened to most of them. Still, even with a few WTF-moments it kept me on the edge of my seat through near the entire movie. And like I said, the breathtaking visuals. ahhh. That alone makes me want to see it again.
Overall, an 8/10 for me. Go see it!
