That's fantastic, could it even reach 8x Platinum? It's good that he released TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro Lo Stadio 2015 Tour Edition.

The price of the Fan Edition of TZN has gone up at least €17 on Amazon.it, it's only £12.58 more expensive for me though, it went from €64,90 (£48.01) to €81,90 (£60.59) How does this happen? I'm buying it in the New Year as I don't want it to up in price, it's so frigging expensive as it is.

Maybe, it depends on the sales boost from the special. I don't expect it though.

The price is always fluctuating, but that's normal for Amazon. No idea how they determine their prices.

I know the only Tiziano album to go 8x Platinum was L'amore è una cosa semplice, so could he do it? All of his other albums only went up to at least 6x Platinum or less didn't they?

I think it's pretty much guaranteed, it just might take a long time. GH albums always continue to sell. Even his new studio album will give it a boost.

Jovanotti's 1987-2012 Il Best is not selling that well, it's on 6x Platinum and it was released 3 years ago, is this normal? The Federatizione industria musicana italiana has listed for 2015, TZN - The Best of Tiziano Ferro as first as it is 7x Platinum, and then Jovanotti's Lorenzo 2015 CC. is second as it is 5x, but Tiziano is more of a seller with his albums isn't he?

I was reading the lyrics/English translation for Salutandotiaffogo and I was wondering is it about Tiziano drowning in sorrow after a breakup? Because it would be pretty stupid if the song was about him actually trying to drown himself.

I remember reading the theory that Salutandotiaffogo was written as one word on purpose, so that it can mean both "Salutandoti affogo" (Saying goodbye to you, I drown/feel like I'm drowning) and "Salutando ti affogo" (Saying goodbye, I drown you/try to forget you).

I'm going to say that Salutandoti affogo is the right interpretation as the chorus goes:

Look at those lights from far away
One more time and then
Hold me tight and then hold me tight
And it won't happen ever again
And I know tomorrow I'll be too lonely
But say now what you think
Saying goodbye to you, I drown...

If it was Salutando ti affogo, would he not say something along the lines of "Saying goodbye to you, I try to drown you/forget you" It's very confusing as there can be multiple meanings to it, can't there?

There's no right and wrong with his songs, his style is often very metaphorical, it's more about the feeling than the meaning. At least it used to be more like that, cause songs like Incanto and Lo Stadio are far more literal. I hope the next album will be more poetic again.

Yeah, I understand that, his songs used to be very poetic and beautiful, they still are, but the meaning of these new songs are not really the same as his old songs though, E fuori è buio is one of his best songs, was it when he was closeted or was that an interpretation of the meaning of the song? It does sound like it was specifically about not wanting to come out and be free rather staying in the closet and not saying anything.

We'll never know his exact mindset when he wrote each song. If he explained his songs then that could ruin people's interpretations of them. In the end they just mean what you want them to mean.
