I thought "Love On Top" was up for adds before "Countdown" though... But, you know... I thought LOT was the more obvious smash than "Countdown." And the fact is, LOT went top ten WITHOUT radio support, while "Countdown," well...
EDIT: Wikipedia (yeah, I know...) says that Countdown wasn't serviced to US Mainstream and Rhythmic Radio until October 4. And the video premiered on MTV on October 6.
