Sis, I swear I can't watch anything before the B'Day era and that includes DC performances, but I watch them anyway just to see the growth. Her voice and performance abilities have been soaring ever since the B'Day era.
Well, you can trace the growth back to the Survivor era. Her voice starting changing around that era, then again during the DIL era, then B'Day, and then she started using the live voice (I was going to say "tone" but I don't know if that's the right term) on recorded tracks (4). It's nice to be able to witness growth. Her performance abilities and confidence are something else now.
She's improved greatly, but even if she was still performing in DIL or even pre-Survivor ways, she'd still be one of the best performers of today. I think a lot of it has to do with poor recording quality too. So many of the early DC stuff and early 2000s things were before people had DVRs in their home so it's all LQ VHS recordings it seems.
I've noticed that atrl has been extra salty about the King lately and I see unreported posts...we too kind sistren, we need to attack and give them those WPs where its due
