So this is an idea I've always had that Beyonce should do. It's a great way to expand her brand, her wallet, her legacy and would mean she could still be involved in music without having to actually spend time away from her family too much (if that's something she wants).
The idea is for her to launch/manage/mentor an R&B boy-group. She knows what it's like to be in a group, she knows R&B, she knows talent. There's no doubt in my mind they'd slay and I think the public would eat them up (at least the Urban market). Also I think the market is there and waiting. One Direction, Bieber, etc. have all been hugely successful due to them being marketed to the thirstiest market of all: little girls. However the urban market really doesn't have this.
And of course their second single would be graced by Queen Bey herself (so that they can stand on their own a bit).

I beg to differ. A more Urban Pop group would be better. This way she can develop them into a dance-singing boy group. Beyonce is a performer so she should manage people who are performers.
Shouldn't she make a group in a musical style she is passionate and knowledgeable about though?
No.I don't see R&B groups being profitable anymore.1D will be flopping in about 5,so she need to start getting her pop-rock group together now.and I don't think you have to be knowledgeable about something for it to be profitable for you.because you can always hire people that know the business.
This dude did not just say that none of the shows were sold out,and that they all are hardly selling. and that when the time comes radio stations will be giving them away because they don't want to perform CIL for crickets
And that she wouldn't be surprised if someone breaks a foot or leg so they could cancel the tour

But 1D isn't an urban band.
The reason why it should be something you're knowledgeable in/have a passion for is because its clear that nowadays Beyonce wants to be working on things she's passionate about. It doesn't have to be Boyz II Men, but I think it should relate to what Beyonce likes. As someone said, it could be even "indie/dream pop/trip-hop music ". Especially if you are a mentor you have to love it.
