Rihanna is still ahead of Beyonce on both album and single charts in the US and worldwide and has sold more in SPS units since FourFiveSeconds. That being said, she's more musically relevant.
Unlike Kanye, poor Britney actually did perform, and that was far worse: A “comeback” that was more like a leave-again. Britney played second fiddle to the featured rapper G-Eazy; the camera kept cutting wide, as if embarrassed.
Just means I don't feel the need to defend that performance for "lip syncing" being "boring", "forgotten a week later" and other things of that nature.
But I will still tug at Rih and Brit for being colossal failures last night.
