AD 1. : Chanel | Coven de Couture
Natalia sits down in front of what looks like a cult as Coven de Couture plays in the background. She’s wearing a hoodie at first and seems to be rolling a dice in her palm. As she opens her hand to throw the die, it is revealed to be a diamond and as it is tossed into the fire, a bright light comes out and fills the screen and we see Natalia and her coven strutting down the streets of Manhattan decked out in Chanel head to toe. Chanel purse, Chanel shoes, everything. The strut is captured in slow motion and Natalia’s hair is blowing in the wind. Soon after, the slow motion stops and Natalia walks past the camera and winks.

The Dying Stars is Azealia's third album and it was released yesterday at midnight with three separate editions flooding store shelves worldwide. Azealia revealed a few weeks back that she plans to have visuals to coincide with the album's music. Each song off of the album has a music video and all were released to VEVO and premiered on E! earlier today. VEVO has been advertising the videos all over their site and all over YouTube since their premiere a few hours ago. On E!, Azealia had premiered the videos by going on the network for two hours where she discussed each video for premiering. Each video was two minutes long in length, shortening each song by over half of the original length. The reason the majority of videos were cut so short is, as quoted by Azealia, "this is an album of beauty and not every part of the song needs a visual, however, each song deserves the chance to be beautiful and have the opportunity for the world to see my vision of what it was like while creating it." All videos are expected to be released in DVD/Blu Ray format within the next few days
Night On the Moon: Azealia Banks is in front of a black wall. Her hair is all pulled back away from her face and she is painted silver. Her head is down so you can't see anything but her silver hair. She lifts up her head as Night On the Moon plays and opens her eyes, revealing black out contact lenses. She opens her mouth revealing her tongue split in half and colored black. Throughout the video she has a far out look in her eyes and is rotating on a platform. Comet 81P: In this video Azealia is seen with a really long weave sewn in. It is bright red similar to Ariel from the Little Mermaid. She is seen wearing a gold corset, bedazzled with jewels. She is seen throughout the video with bright red makeup and red contacts. You see Azealia walking on a bright dusty looking surface, pink sand. Behind her it is completely blue skies. In her hands which are above her head, balancing the giant comet on her head throughout the video. Heliopause: During this video Azealia is seen in a studio with a dress made of clocks. she has no hair and her eyebrows are glued over. Throughout the video, the camera rotates circular around Azealia as she lies down and mouths the lyrics. Galactical: The video for Galactical does not have Azealia in it. The entire video is of clips of 70s sci-fi films and spaceship crashes throughout time. The video has drawn controversy due to the use of spaceship crashes. Accretion: Azealia is seen in this video with long straight black hair. She is wearing a 60s mod style dress, bright green and has 60s mod makeup. Azealia is in black sand against a pink sunset. she is seen sinking with a blank look on her face as she lips the lyrics of Accretion Absolute Zero: In this video you see Azealia in a washed out white and blue gown and her hair is pulled back in a bun. At the start of the video you see someone break the air conditioning and throughout the video you see Azealia slowly freeze to death. Quasar: Azealia is seen in this video in a leather shoulder padded suit. The video is inspired by Corporate Cannibal by Grace Jones. Azealia's head is stretched out and on the opposite side of her body. the entire video shows Azealia lying horizontally. With her head stretched out, Azealia lipped the entirety of the song with a black hole inner galaxy feeling to it. Crystalline Display: Azealia has a 5 foot long weave in this video. All black and board straight. She is seen running through a galaxy as she wears a metallic silver bikini. She runs in slow motion as her hair blows and she sings the lyrics to Crystalline Display. The end of the video shows "fin~" as it is the last video of the set.
AVRIL LAVIGNE's "HEARTFELT CONFESSIONS" Album Release Party on iHeartRadio Theater LA
Avril announces "Hot Stuff" as Second Single
927 words
Avril Lavigne is truly one of the busiest pop stars of today as her newest album entitled "Heartfelt Confessions" is officially released today, January 12, 2015. And to make her sixth studio album release more special, Avril performed a number of her new songs at a special album release party with iHeartRadio theater in Los Angeles.
The pop rock singer, whose "Heartfelt Confessions" came out in stores today (January 12), sat down with host Ryan Seacrest to discuss the new album in between performances at the iHeartRadio Theater to a crowd of her adoring fans. The fans were all treated to an intimate, stripped-down renditions of "I'll Lie To Myself" "Hot Stuff" and more.
Along the way, Lavigne revealed the inspirations behind the number of her new songs -- such as "I Do," which is a collaboration with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. Avril says that "I Do" is a song that reminded her the moment she heard wedding bells on her wedding day. Lavigne describes the song as the most romantic song on the album. The pop star claimed she was also inspired by the 2014 film "The Fault In Our Stars" for the song, which is "about two star-crossed lovers who fell in love despite their health conditions, A love that truly does not need long amount of time to make people realize that they do belong to each other."
Lavigne also spoke to the general theme of "Heartfelt Confessions," especially after releasing five albums from the past 12 years.
"Heartfelt Confessions is all about my expression of maturity all throughout the years. It is a reflection of my learnings from my mistakes. It has its mature theme which means no more bratty child lyrics or beat" - Avril Lavigne
The pop star also announced that her second single will be "HOT STUFF", which was originally intended to only be a promotional single but due to overwhelming response from critics and public, the label decided to use the track as her next single. Lavigne described HOT STUFF as the most positive and fun song of the album.
Aside from Ryan Seacrest's interview questions, Lavigne also answered a number of questions from her fans in attendance, many of which asked why she released tearjerking ballad "I'll Lie To Myself" in favor of fun answers. Avril was also asked who the most famous person in her cell phone contact directory, Lavigne answered "Taylor Swift" and Lavigne even expressed that "she's the most famous person on EARTH right now," but fans were all shocked when Lavigne answered a question about which contact from her phone she just deleted recently, Lavigne answered "Chad Kroeger." The fans were silenced for awhile but Lavigne quickly changed her answer to "Becky G." When she was asked if she really deleted her husband's number on her phone, Lavigne diverted the topic by saying that her album should take the spotlight not her love life and jokingly said that "If my album goes #1 on its debut week, I will answer that question about Chad"
Performance-wise, Lavigne was supported by backup singers and musicians playing largely acoustic instruments, including a piano and stand-up bass which gives each performance a sense of intimacy, toned-down vibe and soothing feel. "I'll Lie To Myself" started the evening, and other renditions included "I Do" (minus Adam Levine), "Hot Stuff," "Forevermore" and "Heartfelt Confessions," the latter of which Lavigne revealed was being performed live for the very first time which she is hesitant to do because it is very close to her heart and that's why Lavigne was seen tearing up through the bridge of the song.
Seacrest asked Lavigne why is she tearing up while crying that specific song, Lavigne paused for a moment and said that it is only tears of joy. Lavigne was still able to end the performance brilliantly with angelic vocals.
"I am so grateful to you guys because you gave me another chance to make a comeback. I promise I'll do what it takes to make you all proud of me" - Avril Lavigne
The album release party ended with Lavigne singing a mashup of her hit song "My Happy Ending" and "I'll Lie To Myself"
The Album Release Party is also recorded and will be having its telecast on The CW Network by January 15.

Today, to further promote The Dying Stars, the album released yesterday, Azealia did a show for VH1 Storytellers where she performed slowed down acoustic versions of Azealia's favorite songs off of the album everyone has had their eyes on as of lately. During the premiere of Azealia's Storytellers episode, it was all sponsored by Target who continuously aired the commercials for Azealia's album being on iTunes and available in Target stores today. Before going on VH1 Storytellers and having her episode air, Azealia tweeted this out to all of her fans in a twitlonger "I am so happy to be here @fans. I just released my new album and it has gotten great reviews and great success. There are so many people I would like to thank right now but the number one people I am thankful for is my fans. Thank you so much for giving me this. I am so blessed to be in this position in my life right now. Only so many people are ever so lucky to have this kind of success and I am one of those lucky people. Thank you so much. I love all of you." At the beginning of Storytellers, Azealia was seen getting on stage and sitting on top of a stool. The first song Azealia performed was Metamorph. She announced the song as "This is my favorite song off of the album. I truly love it and I am so glad and truly for its success and I am thankful for having the ability to share it with all of you today in this format. Many people are never given the opportunity to live like I do. It's a simple fact that I have faced and that makes me heartbroken and upset. I know that I live a privelaged and wondeful life and I want to be able to one day give back to all of my beautiful loving fans that have always and will always support me. You guys are my rock and who are my inspirations always. No one inspires me like you guys do. Thank you for always being there. I love all of you and be sure to buy my new album The Dying Stars on iTunes today." During Azealia's performance she wore green slacks and a white button up blouse. She sat on the stool while performing Metamorph and the set behind her was very rustic and it all focused around Azealia sitting on the stool. With such a bare and different stage from her past performances throughout this era, the performance on Storytellers was a different kind of experience for all Azealia fans that watched the program. After the performance of Metamorph, Azealia talked about the next song she would be performing which was Fly. Childish Gambino joined her on stage during this performance, bringing on a stool where he sat next to Azealia. Azealia talked about the song saying "This is a song it took strength to write. Literally, it's about flying through space and time. Flying past galaxies and beauty. It tells a story of a girl who is missing all of her life by not paying close enough attention to what goes on around her. About her missing the beauty of life." Azealia and Childish Gambino performed the song together as the band behind them played. The two hugged eachother at the end of the performance, showing mutual respect for one another. After Fly, Azealia performed Galactical, Crystalline Display, Absolute Zero, Comet 81P, and Night on the Moon. This Storytellers episode was finished off with Azealia doing a performance of Space Oddity. She described Space Oddity as "My absolute favorite David Bowie song. I absolutely love the tune and how it flows in one ear and out the other so smoothly. His beautiful voice inspired me to cover it and I did. I am really proud of how it came out, while it's nowhere near Bowie's, it's me. It's fun. It's different. Here's Space Oddity" During the performance, Azealia stood up and sang into the mic, while going to the audience of ehr biggest fans and holding their hands as she sang. The episode ended after Space Oddity. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars today.
Immediately following Azealia's episode of VH1 Storytellers, Azealia Banks then went on to have a Behind the Music episode, which also aired on VH1. this Behind the Music episode was different though in the sense that Azealia had performances throughout the two hour episode. Throughout the episode, Azealia performed shortened versions of Fly, Space Oddity, and Metamorph. Azealia's episode of Behind the Music has been heavily promoted on VH1 and other networks with commercials advertising this episode as the revival of Behind the Music and how it will bring back the weekly episodes of Behind the Music. Azealia spoke great happiness and elation over the Behind the Music episode focusing around her. Azealia said the following about being able to appear on Behind the Music "I used to always watch Behind the Music growing up and dream of being on there and having my story be told. I never actually knew it would happen. I never knew that I would be where I am at today. I never knew any of that and there's no one that I can thank more than my fans. The people who have always been there for me and listened to me when I needed help. Thank you for supporting me throughout the years. I will always love you guys." At the beginning of Azealia's Behind the Music episode, they discussed Azealia's upbringing as a young girl in Harlem with hard parenting. Azealia's family discussed going to LaGuardia High School. A close friend of her said the following about Azealia in high school "She had no motive to stay in school. She just wanted to spit. She just wanted to adventure into the rap world and show everyone her skills and that's what she did. She dropped out and it was all worth it in the end. Look just where she is now. Hell, if I knew I was as talented as Azealia, I would've also dropped out." When discussing Azealia's success prior to Domination, her breakout era, Azealia's mother spoke about her by saying the following "Azealia was struggling. She was. She was trying to build up this big career and it never came to fruition. She released 212 and 1991. That EP never took off for Azealia like anything else she would release later on. She would call me and say 'Mama. I give up.' I would have to tell her 'Bitch. Shut up. You got this in you. Now get back up and go show them who is a boss' And she did. I am happy about that. I don't need my babygirl acting upset. She deserves the success she has and she worked her ass off for it." A friend of Azealia's later on discussed her depression after the Domination era "She was very depressed. She had no motives and no pride. I felt terrible for her. At one point she even debated killing herself. It all started after the accident. The bus accident. Back when she was promoting Free, the second single off of the album, she ended up getting hit by a bus which broke her legs. She got addicted to pain killers and felt hopeless. She truly felt like she could not perform ever again. This all continued until very recently, around the time Time to Hop Off was released." Bringing it to modern day, they then began to discuss the now success of Azealia and how she's begun to show how powerful she is in the industry "Nowadays, Azealia is untouchable. Before now, Azealia was untouchable but especially nowardays, she is untouchable. The Dying Stars has proven that. I only know that it's going to keep going up from here. She has no downfall in her future. I believe in her and I know everything she's capable of. While making the album she would always say 'Hey, come listen do this track I made. How's it sound?' She was so nervous to release the album because it was nothing like she's released because it had no rapping. It's all singing." Throughout the night you got to see behind the scenes clips of Azealia recording albums and even got to see Azealia perform Metamorph, Fly, and Space Oddity. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars today.
While continuing to promote The Dying Stars, Azealia Banks performed for the president of the United States, Barack Obama. In the performance, Azealia performed some of her favorite songs off of the album like Metamorph, Fly, and Space Oddity. The entire concert had tons of performers from Azealia to Cher and everyone got to see it live as it aired on CNN live as it was happening. Unlike other events that are usually private for when the president has performers, this event was fully public for everyone to see. The event in which Azealia performed at was in honor of the president's success while in office. When asked by paparazzi about the event and her excitement over performing, Azealia said the following "I am so happy to perform for the president of the United States. This is so important for me as a black female to perform for our black president. I want to be able to cherish this moment forever. I have been training and rehearsing nonstop to be able to please the president and I hope he enjoys the show because I will definitely enjoy putting it on, no doubt about that. To know that Barack Obama, the president of the United States, picked me to perform for me means so much to me, really. I hope he bought The Dying Stars which is on iTunes today." During the performance, Azealia opened up with Metamorph, the lead single off of The Dying Stars. During the performance of Metamorph, Azealia wore a white Valentino gown and performed the song in a slowed down tone and treated it more like a ballad. Her hair was down and professionally straightened with curls on the end, giving her an ethereal queen look. Throughout the performance of Metamorph, Azealia sang at the mic of the Carnegie Hall stage where this all took place. Instruments were behind her and the stage had beautiful columns standing tall. All those playing instruments behind Azealia were in tuxes. After the performance of Metamorph and a hearty applause, Azealia went on to perform Fly. During this performance, Azealia changed into a white suit with shoulder pads, still keeping the beautiful hair she had earlier in the night. During the performance of Fly she was joined by Childish Gambino and the two of them rapped and sang the beautiful lyrics of Fly as the crowd cheered on. The last song Azealia performed was Space Oddity. During this performance, Azealia had on the same Valentino white suit as earlier except she put her hair up in a ponytail, moving it away from her face. Azealia lifted up the microphone to sing Space Oddity and the crowd went wild. A camera panned to Michelle Obama who was seen crying at Azealia's beautiful voice. At the end of the Space Oddity performance, Azealia had roses thrown at her by the crowd who gave her a standing ovation and all complimented Azealia's amazing voice. The performance was uploaded onto CNN's YouTube account after it aired on tv. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars today.
Azealia appeared on 20/20 where she gave an in depth interview about her history with music and her overall life in general. Along with that, Azealia also gave a performance of a mash up of Metamorph, Space Oddity, and Fly. Azealia's appearance on 20/20 has been greatly advertised by ABC, who aired Azealia's One Night Only special immediately following the airing of 20/20. Azealia's appearance on 20/20 got her name and the name of the tv show trending for a long amount of time worldwide. Throughout the program, Azealia's commercials for Target were airing, helping advertise over and over again that The Dying Stars was indeed on iTunes and in Target today. While being interviewed on 20/20, Azealia and Anderson Cooper walked around Harlem and the area in which she grew up. During one part of the interview, the walked through the school in which Azealia used to attend, LaGuardia High School. Azealia talked about anything and everything that she was asked about during the interview, from her relationship with Junglepussy to what it was like writing The Dying Stars. The hot question that had everyone talking though was the question about her relationship with Junglepussy throughout the past few months. Azealia responded to this question very hesitantly saying the following "Me and Junglepussy had a long and confusing relationship. We were very quiet about our love life but it was very real. It happened throughout the Domination era and a little bit of the Reborn era. It all ended around the time Paradiso was released which was sub sequentially around the time my depression began to leave and I was feeling happy again. Me and Junglepussy are in the past now though and it's all about what's going on now. Me and Junglepussy are friends now and there's really no beef at the moment for the media to feed off of, honestly" Anderson later on asked Azealia about the process of writing The Dying Stars and what it was like writing the album to which she responded with "Writing The Dying Stars was different than writing other albums. Because it's very themed. It's a thematic album and it's very conceptual, It's nothing I've ever done before and it was very risky. I decided I needed to be in a specific state of mind to make this album and put it together for the release of the masses. So what I did is I stayed in Senegal for months. Months and months. I stayed there until December around the 15th where I returned to London where I recorded the entirety of all the lyrics I wrote down within a one week period. It was insane how fast the album came together. I wrote it all in four months but I recorded it all in less than a week. It was crazy fast but I'm so happy with how it all turned out. I would not change it for anything in the world. I'm hoping I can have another album that will be able to be as beautiful as The Dying Stars is." After the interview, Azealia performed Metamorph, Fly, and Space Oddity. Be sure to buy The Dying Stars today.
Azealia kicked off the Gemini Tour today where she performed some of her most popular songs as well as songs off of her new album, The Dying Stars. The release of the second single off Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift’s greatest hits record was announced simultaneously today when the two announced the release in a YouTube hosted press release event that had been hyped up all week by Justin alone. Taylor build anticipation for the event by posting the same exact eerie tweet Justin had been doing for the past few days on his social media accounts. A banner would appear on youtube titled ‘TS & JB”. An exclusive still from the music video, the two staring face to face from each other would appear on the banner with a courier new font text appearing with the letters mention previously. Fans would click and would be redirected a video, a live stream of the event as countdown would start.
The two singer songwriters would appear on screen just a few minutes later, a smile on their face as two sat on a stage in a studio packed with fans in New York City. “Hello everyone and welcome to our special YouTube event. We have quite a lot in store for you, along with some special things this week. So get ready, it’s all starting now.” It would then change to a montage of Taylor and Justin’s past week of promotion, going all around the world, performing on television shows and such. It would then switch back to the two would reveal their individual single covers for their in that moment announced single. “Together we’re excited to reveal our individual single covers for our brand new single, Too Good To Lose’. The audience would gasp as they’d appear, making the two laugh on stage before they would go in depth about the songs, explaining it.
Taylor would speak first, telling the viewers and audience about the song. “The song was an idea I’d been playing with for awhile now. I’d gotten the chords done for most of the song but you know I wasn’t really sure what I wanted it to be about. So I went in with a rough idea, some rough lyrics that weren’t even about what the song was about. Justin walked in after I called him up to have dinner with Simon and I, along with Vanessa that night. But before we did, he told me to play what I’d been playing when I walked in. I did and he picked up a guitar in the studio and just started playing something. It ended up being the chorus. He told me it sounded like a song about treading the lines of a relationship that was about to fall apart. The next fifteen minutes the song was done and the demo had been recorded.”
“The song is really more about you know warning your lover that was you two have, is something incredible. Something amazing. There’s no need to throw it away to have to start all over. It’s like throwing away something that could’ve been your masterpiece for just the feeling of something new. It’s not worth it. You’re telling them that. Taylor and I had both been going through something like that at the time. Things get bad, the tides get rough, but you’ve got to whether the storm. I heard those words from Taylor during that studio session. The song isn’t just about what we were going through, but to me it really means a lot because Taylor was there for me that night. I was there for her. That's the thing about friendship. It like love can come when you really least expect it. It’s when I realized that she’d definitely be one of my life long friends. She’s just great.”
Following that, the two would then proceed to perform the song for the first time together following their first ever performance at Justin’s concert special two weeks back. They would then perform songs from both of their albums, Justin sometimes playing guitar for Taylor’s songs and Taylor doing the same for Justin. They’d even perform special duets of some of their songs. Taylor would join Justin for a version of ‘Take Me To Your Heaven’ and Justin for Taylor on ‘I Wish You Would. ‘The Collection & More” and ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ are out now.
