My fellow Ke$ha fans had the biggest meltdowns over like everything regarding Warrior and suddenly everyones down for Timber it seems like when this is hands down worse than Crazy Kids with will.i.am. I don't get it but whatever. At least her names up there.

Lol, this is NOT worse than Crazy Kids. The lyrics are clearly recyclable but the whole "timber" idea is actually quite clever and well-executed in my opinion. Ke$ha's vocal runs sound incredible as well, and Pitbull's verses are surprisingly promising and memorable (though that might be the stan talking, it doesn't bother me nonetheless).
Crazy Kids is just... silly. will.i.am's verse literally slaughtered the song and made it disgustingly bad. Pitbull can do anything in the book and it wouldn't be as bad as will's CK verse. Additionally, Ke$ha sounds like an actual musician on this song. And at the same time, it doesn't steer too far from her usual sound that people are familiar with. It's a step in the right direction, I'd say, because it's songs like this that are plausible to open the door for her to release songs where she showcases her vocals more-so.
Compared to all her other singles, this is quite mature. Not that that's saying a lot, but still. I like it.
On top of this all, Luke seemed promising about it. He said something like "It's Ke$ha doing her own thing, hopefully you all like it" which proves he's aware of the situation and (hopefully) is doing something to improve their relationship (which, at least for me, is all that seems necessary, without the whole freeing her from him once and for all).
