Loreen & Ciara's LIE M/V Debuts!
The video to Loreen and Ciara's LIE debuted today, and LoreenSweden.com has all the details! Read below for a full-on analysis of the new music video.
The music video starts off with Loreen and Ciara standing next to a young couple, a man and a woman, approximately in their mid-20's, in a meadow. Throughout the first verse, it switches between shots of the couple (along with flashbacks of the woman's previous relationship with an abusive boyfriend), Loreen by herself in a room (the same room that was in a lot of the flashbacks from the abused woman), and Ciara in what looks to be a shelter for battered women (which is presumed since before the hook, the abused woman is seen in there with bruises all over her arms and face.)

When the song enters the hook, it is revealed that the guy the abused woman was with at the video opening was a helper at the shelter, while Loreen and Ciara stand together, without the couple, in the meadow from the beginning. Right before the chorus kicks in, a clip showing a kiss from the man and woman is shown, in the meadow and without Ciara or Loreen in the shot.

As the chorus kicks in, Ciara and Loreen start a synchronized dance that infuses both Ciara and Loreen's unique dancing styles. With being as unbiased as we can, we can honestly say it was one of the COOLEST dances we have seen in recent music video history. Loreen's vocals during the chorus only add to this effect. Near the end of the chorus, around the time Loreen sings "You can't get away", it transitions to the second couple, a white male and black female standing alongside Loreen and Ciara in a similar fashion to the first couple.

During the second verse, it switches between shots of the man, who faces racism in the city, the woman, who faces racism in the suburbs (both shown during childhood), Loreen, who walks in the streets where the man in the music video grew up, and Ciara, who sits on the bedroom of the house the girl grew up in.

As the second hook starts, it shows the man and the woman, who both are in college, running into each other getting to class. It also shows Ciara and Loreen together on stage. It looks like a concert, and Ciara is singing the second hook. Right before the hook transitions to the chorus, the couple is shown in the audience, and the man proposes to the woman. Teary-eyed, the woman nods her head yes and they embrace each other.
When it goes into the second chorus, a lot of pyrotechnics go off on stage, and Ciara is shown powerfully singing the chorus. The audience can be shown waving glow sticks and lighters, as well as them screaming (although the screaming can not be heard.) They both look stunning on stage. (Again, being as unbiased as we can be.)
Here comes the best (or worst) part of the video, depending on how you want to look at it. During the bridge, Loreen and Ciara take turns singing parts of the bridge (while, intentional or not, on a bridge.), while 2 guys shown holding hands and being chased by 5 guys. They look like they are shouting obscenities at them. (The bundle of sticks word can clearly be read on the lips of one of them.) They already seem as shown by the blood and bruises that can be seen on the both of them. Just before the breakdown of the song, it looks to of fast forwarded a few years (we like to think Loreen and Ciara called the cops), as the 2 guys who were getting chased are now at a wedding. The 2 guys kiss as the words "Love is eternal" is sung, and the breakdown starts.
During the breakdown, Loreen and Ciara are seen dancing in a club. Also in that club, are the 3 couples from the music video, seen in different shots. They all seem to be pretty happy. Admittedly, and as biased as we can get, we would also be ecstatic if we heard this song in a club.
The final chorus comes in, and Ciara and Loreen are singing together this time. The couples are all holding up medium-sized paper with words on them. It tells of their stories. This leads us to believe that the couples in this story are real and agreed to tell and recreate their stories for the sake of the music video. In between shots of Loreen and Ciara singing the chorus, shots of them hugging the couples is shown. At the end of the video, they all stand together, holding hands and smiling. A banner, waving in the wind, reads "Love is Eternal." and the video fades to black.

Ciara & Loreen release "Love Is Eternal" cover art
After dropping the music video earlier today, (click here to watch), Loreen & Ciara revealed the cover art for their smash top 3 hit, "Love Is Eternal", over both their official Instagrams. The duo performed the song on an award show last week.

First of all I'm so excited that my album is finally available. I had a lot of fun today with the release party.
