Is it just me or does Nicki seem a bit more sensitive of it too? I know this would mostly be because I'm an Iggy stan, but when I listen to Nicki's new stuff I feel like she's subtly referencing Iggy

She's hasn't been referencing anyone since PF:RR, but before that it was Lil Kim. And since she's come back from break, her occasional choice of wording just feels a bit more specific- lines in Danny Glover, the ending of Senile and ofc Boss Ass Bitch. We all have our own perception or opinion though.

The above are the only lines that could apply to anyone, and I don't see how it could be about Iggy, or why you would assume such. You're basically insinuating that Iggy is a thief and can't rap. It's all just general banter. All rappers do it.

But Iggy's style is nothing like Nicki's, and Drake also used the "give ****** time to get shine" line, as well as the "rappers are my sons" line. Hell, half of these rappers have used male versions of these lines. I guess because Nicki is one of the only prominent female rappers it's bad for her to do it, while Drake and other males can do such. Like males constantly accuse other males of stealing their style, so why is it so bad when Nicki does it?

When I said style I meant that both of them have a huge ass and flaunt it, musically and fashion-wise they're way different.

Nicki is so defensive when it comes to **** like that because of the constant (and I mean constant) shade thrown at her by other female rappers around 2009.

So of course when she read those comments she would assume Iggy was shading her. Of course she'd be on the defense. She's had to be on it since the moment she's came in the game, and no female has faced the hate she's faced, since the beginning.
