I know, but Rihanna never had a problem breaking in the American market like Rita is. She wasn't the hottest thing on the block but she was still snatching #1 hits and getting platinum albums. Even Pon De Replay was a #2 hit in the States. Thats why Jay-Z and Def Jam invested so much in her, she was producing hits (Pon De Replay, SOS, Unfaithful - All platinum top 10 hits) w/ little promotion and a small team. Rita is massive in the UK, but the US has been lukewarm towards her and its been over two years at this point.

Unlike these fans of Rihanna, Katy or other acts, I don't care about these #1s and other things, this comes with time and hard work, and Rihanna worked very hard to be this sucessful artist, like Katy, Beyoncé, you know, every sucessful artist. I don't know why, but I don't understand why compare a small artist like Rita with superstars. She's growing, let her grow and after this you can have a real comparison.

I just worry about her stability as an artist in a label. She's not that huge in the UK. None of her singles got Platinum. She still has a lot to walk.

Well, that's my opinion.
