Kenny singing praise again.
Quote:
“You’re kidding me,” Kenny said, when told the news. “That’s fantastic. What a thing, what news to wake up to. When I heard the song, I knew it was pretty special. But when we got P!nk on there, it was something else. She captures all the emotion, all the joy of being alive, being free and in the moment—and brought everything inside the song to life. I couldn’t be happier this morning, knowing the people who vote for the Grammys heard in that song all the things that I do.”

I was watching an episode of Black Mirror today on Netflix. S3E4 - San Junipero. Not sure if anyone is familiar with Black Mirror - it's this really smart and kinda satiric Sci-Fi anthology series. It shows how the future technology may impact our lives. First 2 seasons are produced in Britain, but it got picked up by Netflix from Season 3.
So this episode, San Junipero, is about 2 women that are traveling in time and fall in love with each other when they meet in 1987. Most of the episode is set in 1987, but there are other decades shown too. Usually, they define various decades using pop songs, videos, and movie posters. In 1987, a lot of 80s music is playing obviously. In 1996, they are playing an Alanis Morissette video on TV and showing a movie theater playing "Scream", and when it's 2002, movie theater is playing the Bourne movie and a TV set in the store is playing Pink's GTPS video.
It was only for a couple of seconds and there was no sound, just the visual. But it was still cool to see GTPS being used to define an era in a smart, well-crafted show.
Anyhow, if you haven't watched Black Mirror yet, give it a try. San Junipero was a great episode. I also loved an episode called Nosedive. It's about a woman (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) who lives in a world where everyone rates each other out of 5 stars using their cell phones, and this determines people's "social score". So this woman is desperate to increase her social score. It's just really fun and scary in a way that it seems like that's where we're heading.

Sometimes I think 'Heartbreaker' should had been on 'Funhouse' and released as a single and it also fits thematically. Would have done better than 'Please don't leave me' I think.

Ok-ish list, but love this quote:
Quote:
Since blasting onto the scene way back in 2000 with her criminally-underrated debut album Can't Take Me Home, she has contributed significantly to modern pop music and the strong, independent female perspective.

Good to see Mean there. Listened to it again and it hit me really hard.

The very first clue in today's Jeopardy - category "Billboard hitmakers":
"Try", 2013.
Nobody knew the answer though

I said to not quote me
But no, I haven't heard of anything. Or maybe I did. Maybe the baby is due sometime in the 3rd week of January. Maybe it was a typo and I meant to say "new son 3rd week of January"
Or maybe I'm making predictions from this point 11 years ago and Stupid Girls is about to be relaxed and we're all like "But what about U + Ur Hand!!??? The demo!!!!!" And then we watch as droves of her fans leave because they like punk P!nk and not social advocate P!nk
The good ol' days

Mr. Gretchen told us that Pink’s lease starts this month and that she is paying a crazy $65,000 to rent this house on a month-to-month basis.

Hm, she rented a house in Malibu starting this month.
I assume she'll give birth soon and wants to be near hospital.
