Hey, I actually loved Duets. Kelly showed off her gorgeous new look, got to perform multiple times every week and prove that her voice has only gotten stronger since Idol. I thought it was fantastic. It really made Kelly rethink things and step up her game: look at how she's dressing herself on this leg of the tour as opposed to the last leg, or how she's stepped up her vocal acrobatics etc.


Duets was good for Kelly. It's too bad there wasn't any other promo she could have been doing simultaneously while she was in LA.

I mean, it's fine. I am always here for some kicked up drums in Kelly's songs i.e. SUBG & IFY. It still doesn't save the song for me.

I like the bimbo jones remix but that's about it. It should NOT have been the second single for the album. It should't have been a single at all. LS, DLMSY or Ready would have been better second singles. Everyone knows I'm right about this.

-Decreasing in the ratings of views
-No Idol performance (I think is something related to Duets)
-Mostly of the songs (of course) were sang by the contestants and Kelly's voice exposure was poor.

She was able to tour while doing the latter half of Duets wasn't she? I don't think things would be significantly different had she not done it... Perhaps instead of doing a second US leg so soon she would have started the international leg already... But if anything it should have been easier for her to perform on some talk shows and stuff because she was already in LA. For whatever reason her team did not arrange anything though

Duets was what, 2months airtime? probably wouldn't have made a huge difference but it did stall the era somewhat. But hey, it was fun & she did it for herself. Was good to see her image improve & she really shone above the others on that show.
