Not true... I use to live in Western Canada (Calgary) and a lot of people watched them.... maybe they are not big on the West Coast, but I am pretty sure they have a pride wide appeal across most of Canada, except possibly Franophone populations (or according to you Vancouver ppl as well....)
I'm from Calgary.... I had never even heard of the MMVA's until 3 years ago. I'm sure people watch them.... but their generally more popular in Ontario/Quebec.
I don't know why people are so afraid to say the appreciate it. I do and it's fine. Some people hate it and it's fine too.
