Is "COVERS" worth a listen ? Fortune was cute, but it's always the same ol' with BENI.
& Regarding the new Perfume single, it's not that bad, I suppose.
Hurly Burly is obviously superior.
"COVERS" is BENI doing her usual, nothing too special from what I heard. I liked her cover of "LA LA LA LOVE SONG" though, the original is still WAY better though.

That's a cute cover.
But yeah, I didn't bother to give it a listen for a reason.
Bitter & Sweet pretty much sums up everything she's released so far.

I honestly thought that COVERS would flop, her sales have slowly been declining over the last few years. Although I am a fan, I have not heard her album because I didn't like the idea of her covering songs, but I heard the album is pretty good from other fans.
Party Queen was the biggest let down from Ayu in years, since NEXT LEVEL anyway.
It is only Kana and Namie who seem to be representing J-pop female singers at the minute
The best J-pop song for me this year is "Still love you"! The composition is incredible and the vocal arrangement is just outstanding. This track is clearly a masterpiece. Definitely AAA's best single in a long time.

Yepp, an entire album made of covers isn't the most exciting thing ever. That, in addition to the fact that all her music sounds the same, it's all mid-tempo/early 00's R&B. But in general, I really enjoy her music.
Berry Queen sucked in every way possible, "Shake it" is the only song I somewhat use.

lol ok
I love Kana but let's be real here.

[2012.09.05] Love Place TBA
Let's see how Love Place does before saying she's on the same level as Namie. Uncontrolled has already outsold TYL and looking at her decline I doubt Love Place is going to do anything all that special either.

& Don't count Kumi out just yet.
I really can't see Ayu and Kumi getting even close to their peak in the future. Shame really because I do enjoy their music a bit more than Namie's.

But which other J-pop female artist has sold over 350,000 apart from those two I mentioned
