With the release of "The Boys", we are officially moving into The Re-Up Era. Let's take a moment to remember the PF:RR era and the hell that broke loose...
The Pink Friday ... Roman Reloaded Era
The Beginning
*Roman In Moscow is released Dec. 2, debuting @ #64 on Billboard Hot 100. A music video was filmed on Dec. 18, but was later scrapped.
*Stupid Hoe is released on Dec. 20, debuting @ #81 on Billboard Hot 100. The music video was filmed on Dec. 19 - Dec. 20, and released on Jan. 20, breaking VEVO's records by getting 4.8 million views in its first 24 hours. After the video's release, the song jumped to #59.
*On February 12, 2012, Minaj performed "Roman Holiday" at the 54th Grammy Awards. It was the first song ever performed on the Grammy stage by a solo female rapper. The performance borrowed elements of the classic horror film, The Exorcist, and was the most highly discussed performance of the night, as well as sparking controversy. Minaj said in an interview with Rap-Up, “I had this vision for [alter-ego, Roman Zolanski] to be sort of exorcised—or actually he never gets exorcised—but people around him tell him he’s not good enough because he’s not normal, he’s not blending in with the average Joe. And so his mother is scared and the people around him are afraid because they’ve never seen anything like him. He wanted to show that not only is he amazing and he’s sure of himself and confident, but he’s never gonna change, he’s never gonna be exorcised. Even when they throw the holy water on him, he still rises above.” Rolling Stone's Steve Knopper called the performance "disturbing, but still somehow great."
*Starships is released on Feb. 14, debuting @ #9 and peaking at #5. The song was certified 3x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with sales of three million copies in that country. The song also received chart success worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, United Kingdom and Canada. An accompanying music video was shot in Hawaii. "Starships" is Minaj's best charting single to date.
*Roman Reloaded premiered on Feb. 23 on Hot97, debuting at #70.
*RBMS & BITT are released on Mar. 27. RBMS later going on to peak @ #51, and BITT peaking @ #48.

*At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 61, based on 29 reviews, which indicates "generally favorable reviews".
*BBC Music's Al Fox commended the album's direction and wrote that it "unfolds an immeasurable amalgam of genres and inspirations, all fused together in a diamond-encrusted bubble of futuristic, day-glo hip hop. The energy is palpable, the pace rarely lets up, and personality pervades throughout."
*Jessica Hopper of Spin praised Minaj's "rap offerings" as "nearly flawless" and wrote of the album's portion of pop tracks, "Her artistic potency dissolves, and she's just another well-finessed quirky diva".
*Rolling Stone writer Jody Rosen called it a "filler-free mega-pop album" and commented that "the energy never flags".
The Aftermath
*After being dissed on the main stage @ Summer Jam by Rosenberg, an ugly bitch with no respect, Wayne pulled Minaj from the show and she refused to perform. She later called in to Hot97 to discuss this decision with another bitch, Funkmaster Flex. After smackin' the lessors down and promising a free show to her fans, which she later did @ Roseland in August, Godnika came out on top.
*She went on to perform @ BET'12, slaying the stage with a combo of Champion & BITT, bringing out 2 Chainz. She also snatched awards that night.
*She then graced the VMA stage with her presence while performing with Alicia Keys and grabbing Best Female Video.
