I mean she probably doesn't. They haven't spoken in a few decades. So it is probably more tactful to stay in then to go out and insert herself into something that doesn't have much to do with her anymore. She is allowed to feel upset because of the connection they once had, but it isn't surprising that it isn't hitting her like a ton of bricks either.
