The home affairs and interior ministers, meeting in an emergency session here, voted on a plan to apportion 120,000 refugees — still only a small fraction of those flowing into Europe — among members of the European Union.

The dissenters were the ministers representing the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Under European law, three of the countries — the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia — would be required to accept migrants against their will, said one European Union diplomat, who spoke on condition of anonymity shortly after the vote.

The idea behind the plan is to relieve the pressure on front-line nations like Italy and Greece, which migrants from the Middle East, Afghanistan and African have been flooding.

Polish politicians are busy sucking up to auntie Merkel when in fact 90% of their population does not want to accept the quota.
They can get away with it too cause in October there are elections so whatever they decide now, in a few weeks the new government can say "oh well that's what the old government decided".

Just checked, Poland is accepting 4500 refugees as opposed to the 9000 something they were supposed to accept earlier.

The comments are not positive tho.

"I want to spit Kopacz in the face"
"Kopacz spat millions of Poles in the face"
"WE didn't say yes, SHE did, together with the other politicians"

Interesting though that wast majority of Europeans are completely against this new wave of immigration the politicians seem to act ignoring this fact. I feel like democracy is dead in Europe. This coming from a long time European federalist.

I only saw some smaller protest walks, I haven't seen any bigger one like those from the beginning of September yet. I'll be looking forward for them, as I'm coming back to Lodz 5th of October.

What baffles me is that this big percentage are against taking in immigrants in many countries yet 90% of the media only portrays them as sad families or mothers with small children and everyone is addressed to help.
It's like being in the real world and looking into something that is so not right and it makes me wonder why do they do that?
Even in Poland where tens of millions are against I noticed the articles about acceping the refugees were not posted on their FB but you had to check their website. What is going on?
