May it always
The other tracks were promo singles, except for Judas. The Edge of Glory will do just fine.

Why do people let other's opinions/reviews let it affect their own thinking.......
We need to be able to decide for ourselves and not let other's influence our views.

I mean, in all honesty, for every reason you can hate Gaga is a reason why you can love her. Its your choice on whether you want to perceive her as good intentioned, forward thinking in music, passionate in her message, etc. Or to perceive her actions as exploitive, her music as a cheap carbon copy, etc.
The people that will want to find hate will find hate. You can post a page long argument on why Gaga has peaked or w/e, but every one of those points can be equally supported and denied.

My favorite tracks are the more unconventional ones that sound different from everything shes done thus far. Im glad Judas kind of flopped. I dont want to encourage her to go back to that, I love the sound and production of songs like Heavy Metal Lover, Bloody Mary, Highway Unicorn, Govt Hooker, Scheibe, and Electric Chapel.
I think in terms of deviating from current pop standards it reminds me of Britney Spears In The Zone. She deviated from the norm and although many of the songs werent radio friendly/single worthy the album is considered her best by critics and stans for a reason.

I think she mixed rock with pop to broaden the appeal of her album. It should work.
It's the same thing for the album cover.. I don't think a straight guy would buy 'Teenage Dream', the cover looks gaaay. The cover of Born This Way is much more neutral = it is suitable for a wider audience.

I love the fact that you gave your reasons, & didn't act stupid and have a "LOL THIS IS GONNA FLOP SO HARD, IT'S **** JUST LIKE YOUR FAVE" kind of attitude. I commend you for that Obviously we disagree, but the old Gaga is the same Gaga we have, just a different sound, she's evolving as an artist and experimenting with different sounds. TF & TFM days are over, but she still is fun. She just gave us a more liberal album on different topics, not fun pop that usually has no meaning. Right after Paparazzi, I knew she was going to become deeper with her music & have a more serious attitude. But we still have fun tracks like Americano, Government Hooker, & Highway Unicorn. The fun Gaga is still there, but she is giving us the album she wants to give us. A various-topic album. I'm starting to like you, you're not stupid.

Gaga could either be really successful with her upcoming singles this era...
Or go from being both a single/album artist to just an album artist.
Im hoping Gaga is able to break the barriers of whats currently on Top 40 though.
It'd be so refreshing to see more artists take inspiration form the past.

The thing about BTW is that it's not totally mainstream pop but it's not really a throwback album or a rock album either. It exists in this strange limbo, so diehard fans of those genres are not going to be entirely satisfied with it. That's why I understand, say, Nicole's POV, even though I don't really agree with it.

This album is targeting adults + sharpening young minds of what real music is.

IT'S POP. IT'S A POP ALBUM.
Influences are a whole other thing altogether.

It's pop, but it's not the same mainstream pop that made her famous, is my point.

The bonus tracks (The Queen & Fashion of His Love) are reminiscent of The Fame. I'm crying right now
