Here's what I think Avril should do (but if she wants to, its all her choice)
* Stay with Epic and convince L.A. Reid and Sylvia Rhone for a commercial record (They just made good choices, signing Mariah Carey, promoting Meghan Trainor, Sara Bareilles and Bobby Shmurda.
*
Take a longer break
--I mean, like Mariah Carey and P!nk did (two which worked with L.A. Reid at Def Jam and Arista) all of the two acts came back better than ever!
+Mariah's "We Belong Together" was her first successful single in four years (2001-2005) and The Emancipation was her most successful and L.A. Reid was supposedly responsible (after leaving RCA Music Group's Arista Records)
+P!nk came back to real prominence in 2006 reuniting with LaFace and Zomba when her first single "Stupid Girls" peaked inside the Top 20 in the US and both "Who Knew" and "U+ Ur Hand" peaked at number 9 and number one on Pop in the US. (Left Arista after Try This (2003) Mess, which L.A. Reid was responsible)
+
Make full-pop record.
-Ditch punk-rock or pop-rock vibe and just go out all diverse
-
Collaborate with producers
* Darkchild (The Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson)
* Alex da Kid (Imagine Dragons and Nicki Minaj)
* Rick Rubin (produced "Ride" by Lana Del Rey)
* Pop Wansel (Azealia Banks, Jennifer Lopez, and Nicki Minaj)
* RedOne (Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj)
* Shellback (P!nk and Taylor Swift)
* Jack Antonoff (Sara Bareilles and fun.)
* DJ White Shadow (Lady Gaga)
* Cedric Gervais (Lana Del Rey)
Collaborate with
* Kanye West
* Rihanna
* Kendrick Lamar
* Coldplay
+
Getting songwriters
* Max Martin (P!nk, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift)
* Sia (Beyoncé and Rihanna)
* Ester Dean

(Rihanna and Nicki Minaj)
* Gregg Wattenberg (Phillip Phillips' "Gone, Gone, Gone")
* Rick Rubin (Lana Del Rey's "Ride")
Again, she should not leave Epic, they just signed Mariah Carey, Meghan Trainor happened, Sara Bareilles came with "Brave" and I believe "Reflection" happened thanks to Fifth Harmony.
So phew, yeah.
