Of course it is. Until Athens says otherwise, just be patient. Whatever is going on right now with the beta is clearly time consuming and needs to be worked out first before anyone else gets on there.

And again, setbacks happen all the time. Cupid just told you that Athens was working out couple of errors (and I imagine that's why we're still waiting).

But guests should at least be banned until then. Do you see how many people on here were happy because they were banned last night during the Oscars? I mean I have to use Chrome instead of Firefox in order for this site to be useable

I'm not one to complain about the server I normally keep my feelings about the server to myself. I just had to rant nothing towards you or any of the admins but it's just a little stressing to have to come on here or post on here then get 522 because of the guests

It's a combination of both honestly. The vBulletin software is so bloated and ancient that it'll stutter like a stroke if it gets blasted with too much traffic. That's kinda why I don't mind waiting for the beta; the new software is extremely smooth and fast. I rather Athens sort out all of the major bugs out now before all of us join at once.

The very foundation of the site is being rebuilt guys. Software programing takes time and the admins are doing it in the midst of living their own lives. Us primary beta testers know exactly what's going on. Everything is progressing quite well and once it's ready you all will know.

My issue is why do ATRL + members get it first why not just give it to the entire forum?

I'm not furious or anything but yeah, it's kinda annoying that a date was given and then no announcement was made that there was any setback (or any reason given.) I get everyone's busy, I mean of course. But this is a little annoying and I don't see any reason to vehemently defend it if you're not involved with the process and don't even know what's going on.

That kind defeats the purpose of a beta if you just give it to everyone.

Plus if I remember right, the idea was to expand it large enough to test the software for any remaining glitches/bugs before the upgrade is officially initiated.

And + users contributed to the site financially. So why not offer that as an incentive? Besides, once we're on there, it'll only be a week before a date is set for the transfer over. So everyone else will only have to wait a little bit longer and + users can invite two more people; win-win.

Chill. Yes it's been delayed slightly but it can't be helped. Fighting against us isn't going to do anything.

Staff get in first to test stuff, primary testers are to give us a small focus group so we can get feedback quickly and easily. ATRL+ members get in next because we can't let everyone at once in case it crashes. It's called testing for a reason, we need to test it piece by piece to see if it can handle us all.

I agree. My only issue is that there feels like a lack of communication. We are getting piece wise answers and not even from the source. I can understand a delay, and issues in betas, but be upfront about not meeting an announced date and communicate it. Overall I'm sure it will be great, and the hard work put in by those responsible will be very visible!

There isn't anything nothing new we can communicate though. On the 27th, Athens sent out a PM stating there are a few things he needs to work on and that's the message we relayed in here. There isn't much else for us to say other than remain patient, as we have been.
