I really don't get why they are re-visiting the Dark Pheonix saga, the X-men have so many stories to choose from to make new movies. They should do a more recent work for adaptation, like Messiah Complex.

Also, ngl - JLaw's popularity is waning this year. Fox are so lucky they had her in her pre-commercial juggernaut phase for cheap contract negotiations for FC + sequels, then could use her for DOFP at her max star power and now use her again at still massive star power for Apocalypse.

Not Hitler.
I don't think there has been public photos of Channing since before the Globes, so maybe they have just begun to film.

Bryan was suppose to do this arc in X-3, but he left for Superman Returns and watch as they butchered X-3. I want to see it done correctly and the next three films should build on that epic arc.

X-Men Spinoff Series Hellfire Seeking New Showrunners
Quote:
FOX’s planned X-Men spinoff series, Hellfire, is looking for a new creative team
Although FOX is still moving forward with plans for the X-Men spinoff series Hellfire, the network is now looking to do so with a different creative team than initially planned. Co-creators Evan Katz (24: Live Another Day), Manny Coto (24), Patrick McKay (Star Trek Beyond) and JD Payne (Star Trek Beyond) have, following the announcement earlier today, moved on to FOX’s upcoming 24 revival, 24: Legacy. According to The Hollywood Reporter a new creative team for Hellfire is expected to be announced soon.
(...) Hellfire follows a young Special Agent who learns that a power-hungry woman with extraordinary abilities is working with a clandestine society of millionaires – known as “The Hellfire Club” – to take over the world. Moviegoers will recall the Hellfire club’s role in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.
(...) “The action at the center of ‘Hellfire’ will be dynamic and will satisfy the rabid fans, but that said, newcomers will surely be addicted too!”
Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are still set to executive-produce Hellfire, although the series will likely arrive in 2017 rather than later this year.

Hopefully the Hellfire Club will be present day.
And Deadpool's marketing is amazing. I'm still hollering at his Halloween viral video.

X-Men: Apocalypse: On Set Of The ‘Darker, Heavier’ X-Men Sequel (Exclusive)

Quote:
1. "(...) This movie is about a villain who comes from an ancient time who doesn’t understand he’s a mutant, he thinks of himself as more of a god. He doesn’t distinguish between mutants and humans, only between the weak and the strong. So, suddenly, it forces a world which, since 1973 at the end of ‘Days Of Future Past’, now embraces and accepts mutants, it forces them into a place where they have to work together.”
2. The level of detail is intense. Easter egg Xs are scattered everywhere, with even a main staircase built to resemble a giant X.
3. A returning (albeit younger) character has already been awed by these same surroundings. “
We discover Nightcrawler in East Berlin, where he has to queue to get a loaf of bread
” Singer tells us. “Through happenstance, merely because
Raven needs him as a kind of taxi service because he can move really fast
, he finds himself in America, in the X-Mansion, which to him is a paradise.”
4. “It’s the end of three stories. Raven is on the verge of death. For me, I see JLaw on the verge of death. And I’ve known Jennifer and Raven for five years now, and I love them both. Peter [Maximoff] is on the verge of torture and death, and I feel that too. Erik and Michael, they’re on the edge of this pivotal moment in their life, and I feel all this. I’ve got a good enough imagination that I can place my friends and these characters I’ve shared five years with in these situations, and it’s f***ing horrible.

I'm so excited for this movie. I need Raven gone so I can get the real Mystique for the next set of trilogies.

Can't wait for this movie, it still bothers me that Apocalypse looks like he came out of the Power Rangers

QAre you doing an accent on this film?
Alexandra Shipp: Yes, I'm doing a Kenyan accent and I also speak Arabic in the film. Read more at: https://tr.im/M4gtR

Oh God. Let's hope it's better than Halle's attempts in X1.

Alexandra Shipp: I think that [Apocalypse's] plan for [Storm] in the movie is to protect him. Protect him with fog. Protect him with lightning. Blow away a missile. Blow away a plane. There is so much that she can do, and what he’s looking for is protection because he just woke up after a couple thousands and thousand years. He’s weak and he’s alone, and he’s been betrayed, you know.
