Party In the U.S.A. is the second song and lead single off of The Time of Our Lives EP. The song debuted and peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 in August, blocked by I Got a Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. The song remained at #2 for another week before dropping down to #3 and rose back up to #2 in October - this time blocked by Down by Jay Sean. In total it spent 28 weeks in the top 10, later it was crowned the sixth best selling song of 2009 and has sold over 5.5 million copies in the US. Party In the U.S.A. also went top 10 in Hungary, France, Australia, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand and Canada. It was performed during the Wonder World Tour, the Gypsy Heart Tour and now at the Bangerz Tour. Additionally, the song sparked controversy when Miley pole danced to it at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
