Have you seen the show Heroes? Season 5 is pretty much set at a Carnival and the main guy is just the leader of the Carnival and protects the "freaks" and keeps their secrets. So yeah, pretty much the person that runs and is in charge of the Carnival.
I was just thinking that Alexandra Breckenridge who played Young Moira O Hara in season 1 could come back as a fire breather and it's part of the one of main exhibits of the carnival
Evan Peters is able to clone himself and trick ppl into thinking that he's at different places
Sarah Paulson can reveal events to happen on her body, like when ***** about to go down all of a sudden images are tattooed on her body
Dennis O Hare is The Puppet Master (if he comes back, he played the burnt victim in season 1 pretty well and the mute butler in this season so he might get come back for another season)
He's able to control his victims with a pull of a string and has the ability to freeze and control any human's movement and speech

No I haven't seen Heroes but yeah something along those lines would be incredible.
The ideas are almost endless. There could be one of those House of Mirrors where weird **** happens to people that enter it.

Trapped in the mirrors, seeing yourself on another mirror showing a different FACE EXPRESSION than the one you have on. Like you're scared and have a worried face but you see yourfelf smiling all evil on the other mirror

I like the carnival theme a lot! Very AHS! Maybe they're an evil cult and they have to kill like a number of people from each town they visit. But things go wrong when they enter a cannibal town. Now it's evil vs. evil. It's a bit common but it can be amazing. Rob Zombie should direct a couple episodes!
My biggest wonder is, how did Spalding and that Ax guy manage to just start walking around handing out medicine and **** when their dead yet Madison claimed it's just black forever when you die?

I want a season without any supernatural aspects next time, but I do love the idea of a carnival/freak show. It has the potential to be so creepy and epic
