This is my first time posting here, so hey all!
What do people think of the Ciara album?
I thought it was quite a strong album and I don't think 'I'm Out' should've been released a single. I think that Ciara should've released - Body Party and Livin' It Up for 1st R&B/Urban single and and Pop-R&B single. Then, Overdose and Got Me Good for 2nd and 3rd singles, then move on.
it really should have been body party followed by livin it up. i really don't know why they chose i'm out when they already cracked the urban market with BP, they should've tried to crack pop
im still mad turn it up wasn't the lead single for basic instinct, ffs it came out at a time when dance pop was slaying and it had usher on it.....
I can't believe I never realized Ciara had a base on here add me to the C-Squad!
The Read My Lips acoustic version from the Grammy Headquarters slays SO hard, her performances lately make it so easy to tell that she's been working hard on her vocal performance

Yes!
I wasn't feeling RML at first but after a awhile I think it could have done better than I'm out, but livin it up would have been perfect
Honestly, the single choices were fine until the pregnancy. I don't think Pop was the intended audience.
Coming off of Basic Instinct, Ci needed to remind folks she wasn't lost in the one format she once owned.
BP to catch urban's attention. (March - Sept: it's longevity kinda hurt the 2nd singles' chances tbh.) I'm Out to show urban that BP wasn't a fluke + Crossover potential (July - Sept/Oct)
Pop-ish single [RML or Overdose] specifically for multi-format (Oct - Jan/Feb)
Ending with the feel-good POP SMASH Livin' It Up in the spring (Feb - May)
