How do you think Clay's "token black guy" friend would react to his statement?
And I never said he was racist
(though I wouldn't be surprised). It's an ignorant comment and it speaks for itself. Clay also had a tweet joking about how black people don't like swimming--racist? no. ignorant and poor choice? yes. And Shelli agreeing with "I love those!" was just the cherry on top.
Someone who you call a token anything is probably not going to be your friend afterwards if they ever were in the first place.
