Okay I've listened to the album 3 times in full (except "War Paint") so now for a review:
1. "Misery" - This song opens the album on a pretty high note and really sets the tone sonically and thematically. The second time the chorus kicks in >>>> 8/10
2. "You're My Favorite" - So much classic Gwen with this one. I'm not a huge fan of the bridge but other than that it slays. 7/10
3. "Where Would I Be?" - Definitely in the top 10 of the album. The melody, lyrics, and that BRIDGE >>>>>>>> 10/10
4. "Make Me Like You" - I can see why this was a single, but now in context of the whole album, I somehow like it less. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, just not great. 6/10
5. "Truth" - I love how intimate this song is. It's very straight forward and to the point. The "beat break" before the bridge is awesome. 9/10
6. "Used to Love You" - This being the only ballad on the album, it's still a good song but easily my least favorite on the album. When I first heard this, I loved it but now it's okay. 6/10
7. "Send Me a Picture" - The beat in this track is
but I just wish the lyrics were a bit better in the verses. 8/10
8. "Red Flag" - Honestly this songs is one of my personal favorites. It has so much attitude and kicks ass. 10/10
9. "Asking 4 It" featuring Fetty Wap - This song is great but... Fetty was not needed and the chorus gets repetitive after multiple listens. 8/10
10. "Naughty" - I don't understand the hate towards this BOP. The verses are just pure perfection in the adlibs during the final "You've been naughty, uh huh"s are heaven. 10/10
11. "Me Without You" - The build up in this song is done really well but the chorus can become boring after a few listens. 8/10
12. "Rare" - Probably my favorite Gwen album closer ever. The vibrato and atmosphere of this track is just... yeah 10/10
13. "Rocket Ship" - I first listen I was like "mess, hell no" but now I actually think it's pretty good. 7/10
14. "Getting Warmer" - My personal favorite of the deluxe tracks. The chorus is fantastic with those little beat breaks and it's such a warm track. 9/10
15. "Obsessed" - This is cute but it's lacking something and I don't know quite what yet. 7/10
16. "Splash" - It's good but not exactly great however the guitar solo >>>>>>>> 8/10
17. "Loveable" - Honestly this slays pretty hard. I wish the U.S. was getting this tracks because damn 9/10
18. "War Paint" - All I can say is "meh", I can see why it's a Japanese bonus track 6/10
Overall Gwen really impressed me with this album. I mean, WOW, in time it might be my favorite by her. 8/10
