Halcyon is full of REALLY good songs, it has her highest highs and it's her most consistent. My Blood, Halcyon, Figure 8, Joy, Explosions, I Know You Care, Dead In The Water
if you can't understand how great they are, it's a reflection on you and not Ellie or Halcyon

All the songs you listed (other than Figure 8) are really good. Halcyon does have a couple of duds, but the main reason I don't like it compared to her other albums is that it isn't cohesive.
Don't Say A Word, My Blood, Halcyon, Hanging On, Atlantis, Dead in the Water, Ritual, and In My City are cohesive, but the other tracks aren't. My favorite from Halcyon is Only You, but that really stands out against the rest of the album. Figure 8 sounds like a Twilight Soundtrack reject, Explosions and I Know You Care sound like they should be next to Your Song on Bright Lights. Anything Could Happen is more appropriate on Delirium than Halcyon.
It's a crime they didn't put High For This on Halcyon btw, it would have fit perfectly.
