I think that revolutionary nature and angry attitude is completely justified. As an impressionable child all she saw throughout her years of education were textbooks celebrating white accomplishments and seeing black people, who got no credit, suffer under them. Maybe it was recently that she realized injustice of
mediocre people erasing black accomplishments . Then she saw the same things happen to rock/ jazz etc. Now they're coming into what she she's as her territory and her identity. (hip hop).She might seem unnecessarily abrasive, but calm people are counterproductive in situations like these. Calm people enable the status quo.
