I get what you mean. If he *did* get in, I really don't think it would be as bad as people are expecting. Its likely that a lot of the Republicans in the Senate would be against some of what he has proposed, as well.

That said, his narrative about Muslims and Mexicans is completely wrong and is dangerous. As well as some comments about women and other minorities. Maybe not in terms of legislation - who knows, he might not even introduce anything in law if he gets in. But he has validated a lot of people's racism or prejudice already.

Which is why it's a problem that Mike Pence is the VP. Trump plans to let the VP run everything while he does nothing. Indiana, as conservative as it is, doesn't even like Mike Pence. He couldn't get re-elected in his own state thats why he was so quick to jump on the Trump train even though he supported Ted Cruz during the primaries.

I'm always skeptical of these low home state approval rating candidates like Mike Pence, Chris Christie and Mitt Romney who think they should serve in a higher office.
