Well we know for sure that she wants to continue making money, right? I think we can agree on that. That's why she's so picky about where she tours despite apparently loving all her fans. That small theatre tour with GL stayed an idea and nothing more.
Working off that, and the fact that she's still on Epic and they undoubtedly want her to bring them in money, I'd say she's sure to keep trying for a chart hit. I'm sure she'd rather have an easier way such as through endorsements but she's not relevant enough for that and her music is the only way back into the limelight.
Plus I think a part of her really enjoys writing catchy hooks that the public enjoys. She just needs producers who can push that material to another level. That's the difference between TBDT and AL.

Real drums are always good

I think the "Tripod" songs had real drums for the most part, the "hitmaker songs", not so much

Rodney played drums for EH, so I'm sure he did a really good job
Yeah, Epic probably will have more founds to invest on her, and that's always good. But I don't want her to go "too pop", if you know what I mean

Also, I don't want her to feel "desperate" and do things she doesn't want to do just to be successful/relevant again and get more money. I hope she doesn't ditch pop-rock and go EDM like some people suggested, I still think she can be successful with her own style, a bit more updated and developed; leave the "mother****ing princess" behind and look for a more mature and grown-up image. But it's just wishful thinking, who knows what she really wants to do...
