How do you soft reset for shinies?
Yep. Usually SR'ing for means that you have to reset for those Pokemon that are stationary. Which pretty much sums up about all the legendary pokemon. Before you go into battle, you save right in front of the pokemon and then battle. If it's not Shiny you soft reset by pressing the (L + R + Select +Start) all at the same time. Your game restarts and you go back to where you were and repeat the process until you find a Shiny. That's how I caught Aramis (Shiny Verizion) & Evani (Shiny Latias).
In "X" & "Y", They seemed to have changed the buttons to either (L + R +Start) or (L + R + Select) and the loading screen is much quicker. Though I'm pretty sure that all the legends in the game (4) are shiny locked. Though I did hear that you are able to SR for the Lapras that the guy on Route 12 gives to you. You can also try the SR for Fossil Pokemon.
