So don't get your hopes up, y'all. We're getting a flop duet with Demi
HOPEFULLY it doesn't make Kelly's album a la the Daughtry duet. RCA made them re-record their duet a few times because they weren't satisfied with Chris' vocal on it.. and then ultimately left it out because it didn't fit. Maybe that'll happen with Demi's, too.
you haven't even heard the duet. demi's star is going to rise due to xfactor & she's talented as ****. girl is only young, why so much hate should be glad Kelly is even dueting at all
So, that makes sense. So don't get your hopes up, y'all. We're getting a flop duet with Demi

Just GTFO tbh. A duet with Demi will slay. Two fantastic voices. Demi's starpower is rising because of X Factor and her continued success with Unbroken. She certainly won't be holding Kelly back when it comes to the success of their duet.
Eh? It looks like demi is kinda smashing on radio right now while kelly's dark side is still struggling. It may not be a flop. Besides idol, the voice revived lopez and maroon 5 career on the charts even though its only a short while for lopez. And it would even be awesome if both kelly and demi did record the duet and decided to promote it as their next single on x factor. this would be a smash for all we know!

I maintain that it won't go anywhere. I don't even want to hear the song tbh. I'm just not even the tiniest bit here for a duet with that girl. I don't care how great her voice is. I'd much rather Kelly go with someone very established already.
And Demi isn't SMASHING per say, she's doing well. But she's still only had one top 10 solo hit. And has Unbroken even crossed Gold yet? She's only slightly past platinum status with her 3 combined albums. Call me (maybe) when she hits #1 on the Hot 100.

And y'all need to remember without DS we would NOT be selling any albums at all, people think it's not having an effect because we're only selling 7k a week, but without DS we'd probably be selling about 3k a week.
Would y'all be here for Kelly doing a duet with Ellie Goulding?
I remember back in 2010 Kelly said Ellie was her favourite artist and kept talking about how much she loved her. She's starting to do really well in the U.S so it would probably sell well, also she's not really totally popular so Kelly might be more comfortable with her.
I think it could smash, especially if it's like Lights
YAS OH MY GOD I WOULD DIE

I don't know if any of you noticed but this might be the first era where Kelly won't release a single that she wrote or co wrote.
It seems like this is/was RCA plan:
1.Mr Know It All
2.What Doesn't Kill You
3.Dark Side
4.I Forgive You
5.The War Is Over
And I can still see that happening since Kelly's manager wants that as well.
Stronger is outselling All I Ever Wanted with 93,406 copies in the US. All I Ever Wanted fell of the charts on it's 47th week while Stronger is still in the top 50 on it's 40th week. Keep also in mind that overall album sales from 2009 where at least 7.5% higher then the album sales of 2012.
I'm predicting 1.3 Million sales when all is said and down and Stronger charting for at least 65 weeks. One Million sales and a year (52 weeks) on the chart is a given at this point.
