But its not like two pressed journalists are going to outweigh all the praise she's been given.

But somewhere amid the busy hum of trapdoors and treadmills, Wednesday’s show felt vaguely stilted, as if Ms. Perry were straining to overcome some irresolvable dissonance at its core.

But other set pieces, like a Broadway-parody cat fantasia, felt disjointed and overripe. And Ms. Perry oddly effaced several of her hits, like “The One That Got Away” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” with baggy or dismissive arrangements. Broadly speaking, the music was subordinate to the spectacle, even by the forgiving standard of an arena tour, and even though Ms. Perry seemed to be doing an impressive amount of live singing.

Katy Perry is 29 years old.
It’s worth remembering that fact, because during her Wednesday-night show at the Garden, it was easy to think you were watching a pubescent girl in action.
The “Prismatic” tour is ostensibly where the singer’s arrested development is laid out in plain sight and, to be frank, it’s weird to see a fully grown
divorcée acting like a fourth-grader. At various points during the two-hour show, she played Egyptian dress-up, skipped with a neon rope, devoted a whole section to her love of cats, and flew around the arena while hanging from a bunch of giant balloons.
Perry seemed less like a pop star than a schoolgirl after too much soda.
If a 29-year-old male singer went on stage every night and danced around in his Superman skivvies and decorated the stage to look like a giant Thomas the Tank Engine track, there would be nowhere to hide from the ridicule. So it’s inexplicable and embarrassing to see that, six years after her breakthrough single “I Kissed A Girl,” Perry is still peddling the same grating bubble-gum act and no one seems willing to tell her that it’s time to grow the hell up.

Just got home! The show was pretty good! Def better than CDT and probably the 3rd best concert I've seen this year. I'd say the Prudential Center was about 93% full.

I'm thinking that the best spot to be is going to be the tip of the triangle since she's spending a lot of time there. The main stage would be my backup plan, I don't think she spends much time along the sides other than going from one to the other spot.

I saw the show last night and I was really, really impressed. Whoever put this show together deserves a huge pat on the back because the production is out of this world, like Madonna show out of this world. However, I kind of had a problem with that because I found myself being so enamored by the production and everything going on around Katy that I wasn't paying much attention to Katy. Even the time when she stands and sings her ballads, there's stuff going on around her. I just don't think she's quite ready as a performer to use such massive production.

But it was really good still and I had a great time. It was nice to see her after feeling sort of jaded and bitter over how bad I thought PRISM was in comparison to Teenage Dream.

There's the butterflies in Uncle but other than that I don't think any stuff goes on around her during the acoustic section.

LISTEN UP. In the reflection section, we made friends with the security guard and he told me the best spot was to the right of the triangle on the main stage. We stood there, and there was no one there the whole time. We had space to dance and move from side to side. She isn't allowed to reach down to touch you there due to safety reasons, but several times she interacted with my friends and I (**** Dropping during I kissed a girl and making a surprised face, and pointing at me because I was signing and dancing during Walking on air.) I would highly recommend going there. She spent at least 1/3 of the show within two feet of where I was.
