There's nothing surprising about it. BEYONCE sold 2.4 million in US (more than any Drake album) with only 1 good sized hit. It sold 4M WW with no big global hit, more than any Drake album.
Beyonce is a great album seller in general. But LEMONADE outselling Views by a few hundred thousand doesn't take away the fact Views is doing much much better in the streaming & hits department which overall makes it the bigger era.

One Dance is crossing 1M this week.

Views is being regarded as one of Drake's weakest bodies of work by fans, critics, and the public (saying this as someone who likes the album a lot). This album won't be considered one of his artistic peaks like Lemonade is going to be for Bey.
.

Memorability has nothing to do with which album is bigger though. BEYONCE is more remembered than Dangerously in Love; but you're delusional if you think Dangerously in Love wasn't more successful lmao.
You said Lemonade was bigger; but the sales, streams, and hits Views has disagrees.

Can someone post LEM and Views albums and tracks sales. We can only compare them sales wise, that's the logical thing to do.
You wouldn't compare the chart performances of a free single against a single on iTunes, why would you compare the streams of Views (available on Apple Music and Spotify) and LEM which is only available on Tidal?

I don't understand this whole Drake vs. Beyoncé thing - they are in two absolute different lanes. Both are slaying.

Uhm you can't exactly compare songs pulling +900k streams on Spotify alone + still smashing on AM (he's still has the whole top20, basically) with songs available only iTunes + Tidal.
If Lemonade tracks would be available there they wouldn't be so high on iTunes
Guys forget this, rumour has it Boys Don't Cry is dropping TONIGHT. (along with Nothing's Promised and Treat You Better )

Sure.
LEMONADE:
Week 1 - 485,094 sales + 90,749 TEA = 575,483
Week 2 - 196,252 sales + 60,090 TEA = 256,342
Week 3 - 153,367 sales + 28,488 TEA = 181,855
Week 4 - 91,740 sales + 24,678 TEA = 116,418
Week 5 - 69,076 sales + 21,033 TEA = 90,109
Total: 1,220,207
VIEWS:
Week 1 - 851,675 sales + 23,391 TEA = 875,066
Week 2 - 174,706 sales + 40,873 TEA = 215,579
Week 3 - 82,935 sales + 31,605 TEA = 114,540
Week 4 - 50,267 sales + 27,418 TEA = 77,685
Total: 1,282,870
Beyonce still is below him pretending Drake's record-breaking streams which are a huge apart of his success don't exist, and not even adding Hotline Bling's 2M sold pre-album, which equals 200K additional TEA.
Drake also wins with comparing TEA+SEA, comparing pure sales, and comparing hits. He comes out atop point blank period.

Why do you even have Bey in your signature? You speak absolute nonsense about her all the time. Nothing you say ever makes any sense.
Anyway, you just have to laugh at the Navy talking down Lemonade when ANTi flopped globally and didn't even chart in the top 5 of the U.K. Charts. Stop hiding behind Drake guys, it's embarrassing.

The irony at "nothing you say ever makes any sense" ....
Can you just try to ignore me? Thank you.
I've been trying to ignore all Bey threads, let me speak my mind here at least. You can go on SYG if you want to fight with someone, now bye.

this is a myth haters say to make themselves feel better. Streaming and sales have always coexisted. Drake is slaying both. Taylor was slaying both, Adele's Hello slayed both and her following singles got the same streaming succes they got on sales.
Beyoncé broke streaming records while selling almost 1M tracks and 495K albums @ $17.99.
Many albums are not on Spotify and yet their tracks are not high on iTunes. Streaming doesn't take anything away from sales!!

This is great. But it's not a point blank deal since Bey will be way ahead of him soon. Even if she doesn't, the fact that Bey is on par with the biggest rapper who is arguably at his peak is amazing.

It's the new ''Beyonce's album is acclaimed only because of surprise release'' myth. I'm always amazed at the excuses they come up with when it comes to Beyonce.
