YG's WIN, Different Reception Nationally and Internationally for Team A and Team B
YG Entertainment is finding out that the international support was much stronger for Team B than for Team A on "WIN."
Four songs from the final battle was released on October 28th. Team B's self-written song, "Climax", has entered the top 10 spots in online music charts of Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Team A's song, "Go Up", has reached top spots in just three countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
However, national charts, such as MelOn and Soribada, are the exact opposite. "Go Up" is in the top 5 songs on all major online charts, including Bugs, Soribada, Ollehmusic, Naver Music, Monkey3, and Mnet.com. It's currently the 9th ranked song on MelOn charts. "Climax" is spread around the top ten spots on music charts, taking the first place on Cyworld Music but generally in the bottom of the top ten charts on other music charts.
WINNER hasn't officially debuted, but YG Entertainment decided to release the music to the fans at their request. It's rare for teams and individuals who haven't officially debuted to take the top places in the charts; this is causing a rise in the anticipation toward both teams' debut.
Team B has showed that it does not lack "star power" by demonstrating both their national and international popularity.
