The self-titled album is definitely a "record of it's time" but certain songs like The Getaway and Do You Want Me demolish pretty much every song on Meta (except maybe CC )
If James Dean, Cry, Haters, and maybe Dangerous To Know had been cut out of that album, it wouldn't seem as tedious of a listen imo.
Keep James Dean kill Weird. That chorus.. "Don't you think it's weird, weirder than weird."
Metamorphosis is far too nostalgic for me to ever trash. I love almost every song on that record. I tried so hard to dislike Hilary Duff as a tween and then So Yesterday came out.
Mr. James Dean is a skidmark on her discography, tbh.
I know it's hella off topic but I think the album would have been better like this:
1. Fly
2. The Getaway
3. Do You Want Me
4. Weird
5. Hide Away
6. I Am
7. Underneath This Smile
8. Who's That Girl
9. Shine
10. Dangerous to Know
11. Jericho
12. Rock This World
13. Someone's Watching Over Me
14. The Last Song
Reflecting on her past has me really excited for BIBO now
I still listen to and love all the albums and B-Sides Remixes etc. without skipping. James Dean and Getaway are still my faves of that album since day 1. Sweet 16 and Metamorphosis from metamorphosis. I fear the demise of that album as its not on iTunes, Google Play or Spotify Dignity is hard to pick a fave but I love Dignity, Gypsy Woman, Never Stop and Outside of you. I still love the Dignity compilation albums I made from Sam998899 Remixes. he did a great job of remixing pretty much every track from the er.
This has probably been asked already, so sorry if I missed it. Is the album coming out in New Zealand and Australia tomorrow as well? The physical release is slated for next friday, but I know it's the same for Germany. Because if it does come out tomorrow there as well we could have it in a couple of hours.
