There are no safe choice in a 3rd single for Selena since her only one was HTL. So if everything is a risk why not go for the best song? By best song I mean Stars Dance!

Write your name would be a good choice too. But if they have no money for a good video and promo they should go with Birthday/Save the Day.

I'm still shocked at SD getting Top 30! I remember watching this at #45 and hoping for it to slay!

I'm glad some people here agree that although Stars Dance is a fan favorite for many, it does not mean it would make a good single. While it may be one of the more sonically interesting songs on the album, it does not fit into the pop radio mold right now and Selena is far from being an artist who can take a lot of musical risks that pay off.

The problem is I don't believe any other than Stars Dance or Write Your Name could be a hit. Birthday, Undercover, Save the Day, none will do any better than Slow Down in my view. Each one of them is a risk. Will radio support another similar dance track without a tour backing it off this time?

NnN Love Will Remember is far too week to hold it's own. Undercover wouldn't sell digitally. It's either Write Your Name, Birthday, or Stars Dance. Preferably Stars Dance. It's different sounding and that and Birthday have been proven to been the best selling songs from the album so

Although far from being my favorite, I think LWR would do quite well. It's a favorite amongst tween stans across different fanbases, and with a flawless music video I think it'd slay. The video would have to be deep and beautiful, to elevate the not-so-deep lyrics of the song, I think it could complement it nicely. I have this visualization in the bridge of Selena opening this golden door, walking into "heaven", seeing the Jimmy Bob look-alike, and then slowly drifting back to reality and showing him with a different woman.

Idk man, I just think it could have a beautiful, emotionally charged video.

Undercover and Save The Day would flop. They are too boring/similar to Slow Down. I love LWR and a ballad following two dance hits could be good, but it's not really single material. Birthday would be a good choice but it's already confirmed that it isn't going to be a single anyway
Write Your Name & Stars Dance are risks but maybe they could do well...it might be a chance she has to take.
Like a Champion and Forget Forever aren't single material/would flop so they're out...


So, I think either Write Your Name or Stars Dance. It may be a risk but if they do well it'll be best for the album. I want Birthday most but she said it was going to be a single (meaning they changed their mind)

Save The Day is flawless but its nothing for the radio

Love Will Remember is not the best song but it would really smash with a great love story video

IA! Plus her biggest hits, CAGI, LYLALS and Naturally were very different to what was currently popular as well. "Slow down" and "Hit the lights" were her most basic radio friendly songs and have yet to hit platinum. Although SD eventually will. SD is the only hit she has left on that album, imo.
