Disappointing show. Chelsea was a good host though. If it weren't for Rihanna, Cher, Usher, F+Machine, and GaGa, the show would've been the worst ever.

vma's died in the 2000... they are always so boring
not to mention the commercial music ( mtv ecc) is becoming really really terrible... kesha, katy ecc haven't the appeal of madonna or janet jackson .
infact it wasn't a surprise that mtv gave so many awards to gaga and eminem...basically only lady gaga is making headlines

So you're saying that MTV should only perform artists that have had hits? True, that's normally what happens - but is there a problem with taking risks. Florence is somewhat of an overnight explosion now. She is doing amazing on iTunes.

Florence's performance was fun, entertaining, explosive, unexpected, talented...
