Sorry for being negative, I'm honestly shocked

Shower was a big hit, I guess. And then that other song, that "don't get tired yet-tired yet" one, flopped and now she's no longer releasing stuff, so... idk

My point being that their airplay didn't have any effect on her singles either, they all floated in the 300's and downwards on iTunes. Aside from Shower obviously. Anyways yes it's a bad sign

The 300's or even 400's would be a respectable place for Tinashe to linger though. But the 900's? Besides, how many chances did Becky get with flop songs getting airplay before radio gave up? I think 2? Can't Stop Dancing and the tired yet-tired yet song? Tinashe has been given 2 as well, Player and Superlove. And Becky got a legit hit between these 2, so she gave radio programmers a reason to support her again.
Anyway, I'll try to save my worrying to myself for now, although I think we're all starting to realize some things at this point. I just want her to release a mixtape and get her hype back at this point

Listen to yourself sis. We and Tinashe deserve better.
1 moderate hit each: 2 On and Shower
Then Becky has Can't Stop Dancin', Lovin' So Hard, Break A Sweat and a random iTunes release called You Love It.
As I said the first time I heard this song, I think Tinashe should still leave her label when they're done with SuperLove. She'll be lucky if they release the album with no promo.

2 On was 2 years ago. And 2 of the Becky songs you mentioned didn't even get the kind of airplay Tinashe gets, did they? You Love It, especially, I don't remember it getting any airplay. Besides, the Becky G parallel is not exactly flattering, given that her career is kind of... I won't say it. It's kind of justifying my panic
My point (and the reason why I'm panicking, which I don't do often) is this : the job of a pop radio programmer is to select the potential hits. If you were a pop radio programmer and RCA submitted the new Tinashe single to you, would you add it, given that you've already supported 2 of her songs, consecutively, and they both flopped so your station had to drop them?
The fact that I'm 99.9999% sure the Z100 support is RCA payola (like, c'mon, it's fishy ) makes it worse. Cause not only are radio programmers taking note of the song not responding, but her own label is too. And I'm all for my posts looking stupid in 2 weeks, if Superlove takes off, I would LOVE for that to happen. But... Anyway, I'll stop now

Honestly her career is better than Ti's right now but yeah she's still a flop and I'm not saying there's anything good to come you said you'd never seen z100 support do so little before and I'm just saying it happened to the good sis Becky too.

I'm trying to get into Tinashe after seeing everybody stanning for her
Maybe it's just not my type of music. She's more R&B to me I guess?
edit: i like the guitar solo at the end of Bet

I love the song a lot I really have no idea why this is doing NOTHING on iTunes, all though I was extremely underwhelmed with this at first and found it basic. She needs a huge banger that pops on the first drop, no subtle stuff

Ugh can I contact this girl somehow? She needs someone to tell her how to market herself, since apparently a full team and label can't do it.

Sure, the chorus is a little weak, but it's SUCH a tune. So catchy. And it has that early/mid 00's thing going on, so nostalgia should've worked in its favor too, but it didn't. A mystery

I know our tastes are quite different but for me it wasn't very instant. That could be the problem. I didn't like the song at all at first and I'm a casual fan of Tinashe. The video helped me like the song a bit better but I still thought it was messy and lacked any memorable moments or a good structure. Now I absolutely love it and can't get it out of my head.
Idk, maybe it will be a sleeper hit? That's all I can hope for tbh. Because if someone hears it on the radio and doesn't like it, they're not even gonna watch the video and see how good it is to help change their mind.

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus and I totally get it. Before the video came out, it was just me and like 5 other people liking Superlove. That was kind of a bad sign, in hindsight.
I guess the chorus is kind of a non-event. There are many catchy parts throughout the song, but you need to go back to it a couple of times for them to catch on and I suppose people won't go back to a song without a hook. At least that explains the lack of effect the video, the promo and the airplay have on the sales and her buzz...

Imo, she needs to go back to 2 On sound, in there shell find a niche support by the GP. Wasnt it a rhythmic #1? these pop oriented singles doesnt work for her sadly

I'd be willing to bet that the Z100 add was due to her manager's relationships. He was a radio promo guy years ago for Sony if I'm not mistaken. So, just puttin 1 and 1 together
For a big station like Z100 to start playing it constantly for no apparent reason....somebody pushed that along for sure. lol.

Definitely, it's fishy. Their adds last week were Sia (obviously), Gaga (obviously), gnash (top 10 on iTunes, top 20 on radio before the add) and Tinashe. Our girl is clearly the odd one out Plus, they didn't even test it. They went from playing it 0 times to 14 times. I initially assumed it was RCA's payola, but your theory makes sense too

Yes, we all think urban should be her niche. Mess @ even causal listeners knowing this.
